For those of you unfamiliar with Leon Feingold he is well know for many things He ate 17 hot dogs to win a Nathans qualifier in 1999 over Badlands Booker who had a bad day with 13. I think he would be the first to admit he was not in the best of moods prior to the contest Might have had an argument with the Mrs and got there just in the nick of time Lucky the qualifier was indoors because there was a big rainstorm prior to the event. Feingold sister competed also. Leon was the most unpredictable eater you ever met. You never knew which Leon would show at the table. When he was on his game he was unbeatable when he wasnt he would fall flat on his face like he did vs Don Lerman in baked beans in the 2004 title rally. Leon is one of the nicest and most down to earth guys you could ever meet. He is also generous and would give you the shirt off his back although there was one question mark when On Veterans day 2008 he met up with Nasty Nate Seiken Crazy Legs and another guy who runs a popular eating blog at a midtown buffet with a price range of around $17 . Leon didnt stay very long left a $10 bill on the table which did not cover his entire portion of the bill. Menza is like a frat organization similar to Masonic only difference is you need to be highly intelligent to be in Menza. For the most part he is usually in the company of a good looking female whether its a business partner , a friend or his girfriend and has sex frequently with those same good looking women unlike some other competitive eaters However , similar to his erratic eating ability he would show up on occasion with a very unattractive female . Go figure ? His age is 43 not 41 as advertised unless the interview was conducted 2yrs ago. I believe he is very wealthy and dresses immaculate but has been spotted at times in midtown buffets with a sleeveless Nathans t-shirt After the US alka seltzer open i believe he retired from competitive eating for good .
