Competitive eating not a candidate for 2016 Olympics

Seven sports (baseball, softball, golf, karate, roller sports, rugby and squash) made their case to be included in the 2016 Olympics. Competitive eating was not among them. Chicago and Tokyo are considered the leading candidates to land the games.

Good grief! The Olympics are for PHYSICAL SPORTS!!!

Eating is not a sport, but a human function. And “competitive eating” is not a sport, but a bastardization of a human function. Since it often involves one of the “seven deadly sins” (gluttony), humans really ought usually to avoid it.

Despite the name (Olympic “Games”), the Olympics don’t include mere games either (such as bridge, poker, old maid, Monopoly, etc.).

I say lets discuss Pete Murniki , Jill Stoler and Don Lerman. They are far more interesting than the possiblility of competitive eating making it to the olympics which we know will never happen in this lifetime

Think about the starving people around the world watching Koby and Joey gorge themselves. No wonder it isn’t being considered.
