Yeah, yeah, yeah…..but can she eat 12 HDB’s in 10 min???

I doubt it. JULIE DEY-licious gets my vote!!!

    http://www.ifoce.com/contests.php?action=detail&eventID=299

Julie Dey has the best female debut since Juliet Lee and is the 8th female with a 10+ HDB Nathan’s result according to the eatfeats database. The contest was her first according to a comment in a CityPages blog entry.

Though she’s Japanese, she almost seems to have Western European facial features.

While I have not had a chance to watch any of it, a Japanese friend sent to me five taped hours of the program(s) a while ago. Once I play ketch-up, I may have a comment or three. 圣诞快乐 Merii Kurisumasu to All!

To each his or her own, but I think Ayari has more natural beauty than The Gal. Ayari looks like a simple, nice girl. I think there’s natural beauty in that look.

But my favorite “looker” is Tomoko Miyake. She’s such a sweet little thing.

I will agree that Miyake is almost perfect looking, but how can you go wrong with a Japanese girl with 4 carats on her eyelids, a little doggy in her backpack, and that beautiful laugh?

All i ever see on this site is videos of japanese women eating noodles that will never compete in US. That along with inundated posts on man vs food and trivial polls on competitive eaters . Without Tiny, Rhonda Evans, Megamuch and a handful of meaningless anonmyous posters, who else comments on here? They keep this site alive

The USA is filled with mega-stars!!! In fact, Julie Dey raised $1200.00 for the USA MILITARY (on the 65th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, no less) when she did the midwest Nathan’s hot dog eating qualifier mentioned above.
Now THAT is a star! -and anybody who STILL thinks Sato outranks her is just hatin’.
BTW…Julie is pretty easy on the eyes too, IF in fact you are motivated enough to find a picture of her.
-however, I do understand that your time is probably limited to your worship of Ayari Sato…

I sell used, sometimes VERY used cars for a living.
Slow times like this require me to log onto EATFEATS.COM at least 10 times a day.
I’m just chasing that mystery female Rhonda Evans around is all.
    Just kidding.
My morning routine at work is to go on competitiveeaters.com, than eatfeats.com, then put on a pot of coffee for my poor local Cleveland customers who greatly appreciate a free cup o joe.

    This is my life.

Ida don’t even visit beautifulbrian.com. It’s a complete waste of time. That place is the Sanford and Son junkyard of C.E.. No wonder he’s always begging for visitors. I suggest he start a payasyougo site in reverse, whereby he pays each visitor a nominal fee for each visit.

Tiny it sounds like you have things down to a science.

Monday through Friday I visit eatfeats an average of probably 10-12 times a day. (Sounds like a lot, but it’s not. Cumulatively, I spend less than 25 minutes a day reading and posting comments, even if I post a dozen times.) I also enjoy (occasionally) reading IFOCE.com and competitiveeaters.com.

But I start, and pretty much stay here, because it is the electronic version of the Wall Street Journal of competitive eating.

The coverage here is robust, timely, enlightening, and objective. OJ has NO Peer in this business!

Can I get a “Wohhhh … Bundy” on that? 🙂

    PS … I know what’s coming …

With so few female competitive eaters, it’s a shame that The Gal, Sugawara, Ayari, Tomoko, Juliet, Elizabeth, Sonya, and others can’t all compete against one another.

If there is one thing that is obviously missing from CE—-a screaming need, it is the formation of an International Organization for Female Competitive Eaters, with no ties to any other eating organization. That could well be the impetus that elicits more interest by females in competitive eating.

And, should that happen, I would expect interest in female competitive eating to absolutely soar!

Who would you rather watch eat competitively, a bunch of mostly large (tall) ugly-a** guys, or a group of easy-on-the-eye, petite ladies who, pound-for-pound, can eat more than the men!

Forming an International Organization for Female Competitive Eaters is my wish for the New Year!

Good Morning eatfeats. Rhonda, that is absolutely a terrific idea. Thinking about current competitive eating in Japan in the last few years, it is no longer Kobayashi and Shirota and the male “food fighters” who garner lots of attention. I would bet that almost all Japanese know the name Gal Sone just as they know Takeru. Who would do it, I have no idea. But it is definitely a great one. Needs a sponsor and some funding, I would think.

Rhonda Evans the coverage on here can be googled anywhere. The stat pages are incomplete and loaded with question marks for many of the eaters. Not to mention what a selfish bastard grabbing every link possible on CE , he can get his hands on Whoever runs this site is a paranoid loser and is more than likely the source that responds back defending his or herself when being ridiculed by real people such as BB . He would be a fool not to. With an occasional comment or two from Philbin, Barlow, Ross and Steakbeillie, IFOCE steer clear of commenting on this site. Not to say that they wont visit , but they certainly wouldn’t lower themselves by becoming regulars on this site. . Rhonda Evans and Tiny seem to be the only visible names that keep it active. with Tiny being real while the majority of others are fakers hiding behind an alias. . BB could create his own Rhonda Evans on his blog to generate traffic like OJ but he has too much class and not desperate for readership. The irony of it all is that the BB hater one(OJ) or maybe two at best visit his site all the time. When others accuse OJ of being Ryan Nerz ,Lix Kellermeyer or whoever , he feels the best way to handle the situation is to post those comments so as to throw people off making them think he has nothing to hide. You can bet when his real name, IP and location finally surface , that comment will never make it’s way to the comment page.

Rona, I honestly do believe that the idea of a female-only international league of competitive eaters that transcends all geographic and organizational boundaries is one that begs for entrepreneural (should be a word) attention.

It could prove to be a money-maker too, as its risk-reward ratio may prove to be very favorable!

I’d like to see a well-heeled fan of competitive eating, like Washington Caps owner Ted Leonsis (as OJ has pointed out on several occasions), come along and express an interest in that initiative.

Rhonda, whoever you are, can you somehow get in touch with Sonya and see whether or not you/she/others can get something started? Or try to go (directly) to Ted Leonsis, pitch someone the idea? I try to push myself sometimes about what things are possible with the “If you do not ask, the answer is always no.”

Oh Good Grief, I just noticed a long post above but will not take the time to read it. Thanks to Steak for giving us recognition for riding on our broomsticks. I guess you have the Wicked Witch role sewn up, and I cannot see myself in that white Cinderella ball gown with a wand, even with Santa arriving soon, do not want to be the “good” witch. Hippie Witch for me. Jingle Bells Rock!

  31. Competition Against the Females (CATFight) League said

    December 24, 2009 @ 10:51 am

Sonya and Juliet wouldn’t start a league or do events without IFOCE approval. So, setting up a league with Caps backing is kind of a nonstarter. However, Sonya and Juliet are pretty competitive against the guys, and being that Sonya never lost to a woman, I question whether they would be interested in a woman’s league. Part of Blackwidow’s allure is that she “kills the men.” I bet the IFOCE would welcome women Japanese eaters to compete in their events, but I don’t think the Japanese women have shown interest. Maybe this year having a Japanese woman compete at Nathan’s would bring added interest in the event — that would be fun to watch.

Not to mention what a selfish bastard grabbing every link possible on CE??? Can you really be that retarded? Why the hell would you not put as much CE info on your site if your site is about CE? Sure you coudl google events but why the hell would you if there is a site that has a boat load of info and that will add to that information base on a timely basis. Name another site that has up to date info on stats and events from IFOCE to mom and pop run deals, or maybe one with more eating challenages. Really if it is such a shame to post here then take your sour grapes and blow.

This is not directed at BB either, it is from anonymous said, honestly you are a ass though but that is why you rock. Dont take any crap and shot from the hip. The momma joke was funny as hell.

I think that women CE’rs can put away more food naturally because they are made to do it. They are made to hold an extra human inside there bodies and food for that baby. But these asian females seem to really put away BIG numbers, BIG numbers with smiles on there faces.
