Furious Pete attempts Zeus burger challenge
Pictures and videos of Furious Pete’s attempt at the Clinton Station Diner’s Zeus burger challenge have been posted to bodybuilding.com. It is estimated he finished about 60% of the burger. The current prize for finishing the burger is $500. Forks are apparently allowed at the Clinton Station Diner (they are prohibited in Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub’s challenges)

Congratulations on the attempt, Pete. Did anyone at the restaurant know if you came the closest of any single person attempt to finishing it?

Nice attempt Pete. Too bad you didn’t get a second person to eat with you. That would have been an easy $250 each. I think Ian wanted to try again at the end of the summer.

Great work Pete. I asked some of the workers yesterday at the Diner if your attempt of
eating the 12.5 pound burger was the best performance so far? They said your attempt
was the closest. It is a shame they could not give you a scale. In fact, one of the managers told me he would give you a scale to use while the hamburger was cooking.
When the hamburger was ready, I asked the same manager if he could give you the scale? He told me ” they did not bring the scale today”. ” He stated that they make this hamburger all the time and it weighs 12.5 pounds.” It was great pleasure watching your attempt to master the Zeus burger. Have a safe trip back to Canada.

Just gotta go back and finish it the next time. Take Ian with you, and the two of you will punish that burger, and still have room for desert!!!
Gotta use the Boy Scout motto “Be Prepared!!”
