Never steal plates from the mailman. It’s a felony.

This shouldn’t even be a real sanctioned MLE event. The competitors are hand-picked for the contest, regardless of MLE ranking. Dave Goldstein isn’t even a signed eater.

Whose feelings are hurt, that they were left out? Maybe MLE chose people with personality that bring something to the show.

Is there a new “personality” ranking that MLE gives out to eaters, to help them decide who gets to compete in a contest?

Hey, looks like Cherish is up for another free meal disguised as a comp eater.

Could US MALE actually beat half of these names showing up for a free meal? It should be interesting. Is he making a comeback or is this a one time deal?

Dave and Dave are buddies with Frankie the floozy. Frank is a user and will screw over anybody to get what he wants because he wants to be on social media. I don’t think any real eaters want anything to do with him anymore?

An update on the famous Jack Legath whining. He had all his “fans” gang up on the restaurant with their replies.

Welllll that’s the funny part Jack, I think when you have a big name in your own eating community calling you out behind the scenes to the above said establishment saying you shouldn’t have competed…that’s where Submarine House might have to draw the line.

People you know and compete with within the circuit came forward and called you out. They considered you a professional and a peer in that tight circle that you aspire to be in. There lies the problem. Ultimately saying it was unfair that you were competing in this challenge, as they also looked at the waiver for the Super Duper Cheesesteak Challenge with good intentions and integrity, realizing this was not the event for them. Your ‘reputation’ was never in question because Submarine House didn’t make it about you or the discrepancies.

But I see your tone has changed between now and three months ago. You were respectful and docile when you got DQ’d in the private text messages between you and the establishment, prior to their media post. You were accepting and forthcoming on the mistake YOU made. Now you want to bump your gums and make this into something? What’s good? l have the texts if you lost them Jack.

Also for transparency sake, I saw and know what you signed to compete. We also both know asked to have your travel reimbursed instead of taking the L on the chin like a man. Mind you, in a competition you voluntarily chose to attend and deceivingly competed in. You knew what you were doing.

I think it’s funny you Speak of childishness. However you trying to squeak through and lowball into an eating competition that specifically said no “competitive eaters” is childish in my opinion. Saying that you are “just starting” and do this “for fun”. Meanwhile you have a dedicated YouTube, Facebook and instagram page solely and specifically for competitive eating. That doesn’t seem like just innocently starting out or just having fun. Especially when all I see is but is not limited to; first place finishes or records being posted at every establishment you post. Including at the time of the Submarine House event. Your peers that stunted you out didn’t seem to think it was so righteous either, once again.

No one you went against in the cheesesteak challenge had any of the said media above including your own and attention from local news stations. Also noted, not one professional or dare I say “competitive eater” since you don’t consider yourself a professional; came forth in droves to call other competitors out privately to the business. Not one.
I get you were upset but to sand bag, sign a waiver, cry about expenses for a competition no one forced you to attend is a little excessive and extreme. Especially when you air out your dirty laundry on social media at that. Three months later!
But I guess at the end of the day you can’t even make the distinction from competitive eater to professional. You even said so yourself in these comments above. So why do you blast out a business that does good for the community that chose to make their honest and fair definition of you for you?

Sounds like you want to make it in the big leagues but when it’s time to be stop being the big fish in the little pond…you don’t want to swim anymore? What’s up with that?

No one likes a sore loser, especially when it’s for charity. Jack.

@721 geez obsessed much with Jack lol!
Imo a pro is anyone who can live only from winning competitions which i would say is only a handful of people. Also anyone calling a restaurant accusing someone of begging a pro is just hateful. This community is super toxic look at nick who’s in the big leagues cheating at nathans. Or all the hate on eatfeats. Where do you see any positive comments. Stop trying to pretend you’re all high and mighty lol

I am happy for Dave and hope he does well. All I’m going to say is that I follow him on social media and this year has been quite tragic for him and his family. Maybe there is a bigger reason for him doing this. Seems like George Shea doesn’t hold a grudge for the past. Go US Male.

@5:08pm– you are wrong. A “pro” eater is really anybody that has won multiple eating contests (or even placed highly in multiple contests that are not for “amateurs” only), or anybody that has done multiple sizable food challenges (let’s say 6 lbs. or more) and has completed more than 95% of such challenges.

Jack meets the criteria of a pro no matter how you look at it. By your definition, Molly, Dan, Geoff, Nick, Miki, and others aren’t professionals. It’s just not true. Jack knew he was not an amateur, so he deceived the contest sponsor into thinking he was not a professional. He knows he is among the top tier of food challengers and contest eaters in the country, so to pretend like he was not was just childish and a ploy to win $1,000. Maybe the restaurant should have done more research on him, but he is definitely not innocent. And calling out the restaurant like he did breaks one of the cardinal rules of comp. eating / food challenges:” NEVER publicly try to tarnish a business reputation as a result of a disagreement related to a contest or challenge. Deal with it privately. It’s not something you should be publicly stating, as it doesn’t reflect on everyone employed by that business.

Nobody here is obsessed with Jack. Jack is as arrogant as they come. He thinks he’s the best there is, yet he’s not. He’s an entitled little brat that no one likes. He continues to post comments on social media showing his arrogance and also belittling a business who held him accountable when he entered an amateur only contest that many other elite eaters were turned away from. Which by the way, would have beat Jack anyway and won the prize.

If the guy would just eat some humble pie (which he’s been served multiple times by other eaters) and swallow it, people would not talk about him. But he continues to lie and deceive people. and think he’s the best out there.

Hey Jack, when are you going to post your fails on social media? Or are you going to continue that lie too? And 508, you are jack. No one with any sort of reputation in CE will ever get with you or defend you on here. LOL
