    Hickman……..

coasted…….truely coasted for the final minute and a half of the contest and showed absolutely no signs of discomfort after the contest. Twelve pounds was probably entirely possible for him had he kept his foot on the gas.

he is probably wishing there was a cash prize to cover the expense of odor removal from his vehicle’s interior after his 6+ hour journey back to the DC metro area.

    great job Ian.

    sidenote

Derek Payne aka Wing Tut – Best CE emcee bar none. As good a job as Conti did on Spike he is second fiddle to “The Tut”.

what idiot put .23 is a lot to make up? 5 minutes to make up .23…….not even an issue. check your facts……the aice contest was 5 minutes and the IFOCE contest was 10 minutes. looks like luther is rubbing off on someone with his totally unrealistic comparisons.

It’s called “hitting the wall,” Dereka, and then having your friends pretend you didn’t.

What a laugher. I wonder what Joey and Pat would have done, maybe 15 pounds each. All I care about is Joey and Pat. The rest can take a flying leap. Ian challenge one of them why don’t you.

Good job, bro. Breaking the 10 pound mark in any contest is quite a feat!

I am sure sure Ian would love to take on Joey and Pat. Too bad their contract does not allow for fun.

joey and pat are great eaters. If they could do 15 pounds of Chili in 5 mins that would be amazing. Not a single comment was made in a derogatory way towards the IFOCE or its eaters. Just typical chest thumping by a fed eater that thinks everything non-ifoce is bunk. Grow up and gain some perspective on life.

Also, Derek didn’t post the comments earlier, nor the compliment about Conti’s Spike performance. I did and I am sure he knows where these comments are coming from. I give Kudos where and when they are deserved. I am a realist and Derek and Ian both deserve the kudos above.

    peace all

I dont think too many American men could have pulled off what Ian did with the chili. That was unbelievable.

That is awesome Ian. It’s such a shame that all you guys’ intercontinental contests were of endurance and not speed. Perhaps next time some of them can be 10-12 minutes or less.
