Ken Wong wins Vancouver Nathan’s contest
The Vancouver Sun has a video of Ken “The Demolisher” Wong winning the Nathan’s hot dog eating contest held at a Vancouver Canadians baseball game last night. Wong ate 8.5 HDB to win and the contest had a non standard duration of 6 minutes. Ken Wong has emailed a report on the contest which can be read after the jump:

Sorry I just got in and do not have time (1 a.m. now) to report all details and post 78 photos including my trophy. There were actually 15 contestants despite the above. Slow start since for the first two minutes I only had two large Nathan’s cups with water. I yelled out “water” with my mouth full. I again yelled out “water” with my mouth clear. I got 4 more cups and the water was filled constantly. The Vancouver Sun newspaper took photos and video. Decent win since I last ate at a blueberry pie (660 grams) eating contest and won two days earlier on Saturday August 16.

Of course he didn’t show. He somehow got lucky beating crazy legs and never should’ve been to coney either. He’s never gonna amount to anything, no wins or records to talk about. Lucky to be ranked where he is too. Bork!
