The new poll asks which eaters you think are better off financially joining IFOCE and who do you think will do better in AICE / Independent contests.

    My vote won’t load, so I’ll say it. If you’re much below the top dozen or so (IFOCE), unless you have a bucketload of pent-up talent, and and equal amount of confidence, you’re better off in the AICE.

    Add it up. I’d estimate that the top eight eaters earn about 90 % of the total prize money–now and in the past.

    Besides, eaters want to eat, not spectate. It gets old watching the same old Joeys, Pats, Kobys, and Sonyas win time after time after time. And I say that even though I’m a big fan of all of them.

    I haven’t voted…yet. At one time it was top 3-5 were better off in ifoce. Its probably top 10 now, though an argument may made for top 20. Beyond that is ridiculous.

    What about Travel expenses though. The AICE doesn’t seem to hold many events on the West Coast.

    Being a member of the ifoce just dont mean anythig anymore if your not in the top 8…Members rated below that get no respect or money from contest or perks that are given the top 8…They will fly some competators in to Vegas and get rooms for the while the other 48 competators are in limbo..I say let the others compete in other federations and be reconised……../.

    The prizes at most local contest don’t match the travel expense. A lot of independent contest are a distance from any local airport so you also have to rent a car and drive a distance. The best way to go without a doubt is to be the top of the MLE if you’re in it to make money.

    Let Joey Chestnut and his buddies enjoy all the hoopla but let the others who get nothing for their efforts move on elsewhere. I mean really, what are they supposed to do ? Show support for Joey Sonya and the rest of the top 5 or 6 and get nothing in return?. The point system is a virtual joke in its own right. Of course the top 5 or 6 have nothing but wonderful things to say about the ifoce and why is that? Because they are making money and everyone else is getting shit. Do you think for one minute if the shoe was on the other foot Joey Chestnut would hang around this organization and support top 10 eaters if he was a poor eater? I dont think so

    MLE members ranked 2-7 and number 11 are the wrong people to bitch to if you have any gripes or complaints with the organization. A likely response would sound something like ‘Hey this is a great striving organization that will only get better and better with time. Hang in there you’ll see! Look at the prize money earnings from those same members and that should explain the cheap salespitch.

    Do the AICE eating contest T-shirts look as groovy as our IFOCE ones?? And, how about bunnettes?? We gotta have Bunnettes…..and how about the announcers, can they match the imcomparable George, Richard, and Ryan?? Or more important, will they let me announce for a not-so-small fee? would the AICE keep me from applying for “Survivor” for the 13th time?? and most important…are there ever any AICE contest even semi-near Atlanta??

    Too many questions, plus no AICE rap stars…I’ll stay tuned, but loyal….for now

    I have to admit, some of the ifoce t-shirts have looked good.
    Alka & Grilled cheese specifically. Nathan’s not so much.

    Aice has had bunnette types.

    Arnie has improved immensely as an announcer, but all you really need is a DJ, anyway.

    You do mean that the Shea’s CHARGE YOU to announce… right?!

    Aice would encourage your application for “Survivor” etc.

    There is an aice event outside Hotlanta on May 19th. Beef patties in Union City.

    There aren’t any rap STARS in the ifoce either.

    It’s called sarcasm. I use it virtually non-stop. AICE only exists because a bunch of IFOCE eaters didn’t like contracts so they started AICE. Actually I admire them for doing that, they could have been like some eaters that complain about the IFOCE yet they stay in it. For me I like the IFOCE because the talent is better and so is the professionalism.

    Bubba — only the top few are better talent wise, the rest are just the rest…. professionalism as criteria is laughable. We still don’t know complete totals from last weekend!

    SuperPaul — I’ll be emceeing two events this summer… free of charge! Actually, the exact opposite.

    Sweet Shirts? Got ‘Em! I’m particularly a fan of the Casino Niagara EYFO event shirt! I wore it to Denny’s where I got an equally sweet shirt… but that wasn’t AICE that was UEPa!

    Bunnettes? Haven’t seen a thing yet…. but Hickman brings hotties wherever he goes! And AICE might just have to reveal our secret weapon…. CE’s Hottest Biatch!

    Contests down south? Keep your eyes open… this summer/fall should be the start of something good.

    Rap? — my rhyme 5 posts ago was pretty good. Heyo!
    But I’d bet most of us will stick with rockin’ out! Or hearing some sweet Country!
