Awesome job Pat! You’ll get that girl someday. I’d be impressed if I were her.

Congrats Mr. Philbin! I am glad you were able to come back and win after our battle in Shea, you deserve it.

How did Mr. Seiken do? Didn’t he say he was going to be at this one with Goldstein and Subich. I’m guesing he probably got 9 or 10 dogs. Give or take a dog.

Rich Shea did an awesome job of controlling the contest. At the end of the contest, Rich had the eaters step back from the table and each and every eaters area was inspected and recorded. He wins high marks for that.

I think the DJ no-showed on him, and there was no music to play off of, but he managed to do a great play by play. The weather was perfect, not too hot.

I know that Wild Bill wrote everyones totals down and will report soon.

Rios came out Hot and I think I recall him starting dog 6 at about 45 sec in. I think he ran into a wall at the end. Philbin was slower but incredibly consistant.

    Subich 19
Steakbellie 17.5 (but could actually be 16.5 i’ll have to look at my photos)

Kevin Car from Ohio was there as was Philly Guy and ‘Disco’ I wont embarass myself by screwing up their numbers.

    Congrats, Pat! You deserve it.

On an unrelated note, where has Seaver been? You think he’s waiting to repeat QVC or is he out this year?

I like the way Philbin eats. It looks like he’s going very slow, but he keeps going and going at that consistent speed and comes out on top, instead of burning out like most people do. That’s rad.

Awh! No BB in the competition?!?! I thought Beautiful Brian was making his return to CE. I know BB did the strawberry shortcake competition, but isn’t he going to be in a Nathan’s qualifier or 2?

Nice job Pat. You were the top dog (nah, nah, nah). It was also nice to see every one today. Well it’s off to the NYC qualifier Wedensday. Hey, was it just me or were those dogs especially cold and rubbery? Thank goodness for the free ice cream after the contest. Now to watch the dvd of the contest… 15 times.

I”ll agree with you Allen. It seemed like some of the buns were stale also, but Pat was still able to put up the same numbers so I guess it doesn’t matter in the end.

Yeah, those hot dogs were damn cold (YEECH!), I was told that it was because the amatuer & pro contests were done right after one another, that they prepared them all at once, plus I don’t think the wind helped!
