Also, Joey Chestnut and Sonya Thomas get automatic entry into this year’s Nathan’s finals since they were previouss winners. I think this may be the first ever meeting beetween Miki and Sonya, assuming Miki qualifies.

Both Miki and Sonya are extremelty good eaters. Sonya is a wiley veteran, experienced at competing in the big stage in New York. Miki is a young, up-and-coming dragon who will push, and maybe even surpass, Sonya. My predictions for the finals:
Miki 38.5 HDB
Sonya 38 HDB
I wish Molly would enter too.

Wow, I guess they have met then. I need to learn how to use your database–it’s a good tool to have! I still hope those two meet in the finals this year. It will be amazing to watch, and either could win.

7 makes her the womans wild card qualifier ? OJ this is a big joke if you ask me . Some of the female eaters don’t deserve to be at the table if they cant eat 20 more hot dogs. Sonya Miki Juliet Cardboard and that is where it should end. Majority of the rest is basically to fill up the table with neat eating contest type competitors

Anon 11:45 – the 1st seven to eight female finishers will eat at least 20 HDBs; we’re not the top 4 true but we are more than just fillers.
