I will miss seeing Carlene on the stage. That would have been great. But she will be, as always, very gracious accompanying Rich. Rich is a class act, always has been, always will be. They are legends.

People forget that Carlene finished 7th three years in a row from 2003 -2005 when there was only one contest at Coney beating the likes of Bob Shoudt, Hall Hunt and Dale Boone along the way (among other quality eaters). Were it not for Sonya’s brilliant emergence a month later, Carlene would have gotten far more recognition. In 2005, she did 25 in the finals beating greats like Booker and Janus.
