22 pound burger contest in York, PA Feb 17
There will be another megaburger event in Pennsylvania for eaters who cannot make it to the unveiling of Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub’s 100+ pound burger on February 24. The Wrightsville Inn in York will have a King Kong burger eating contest for teams of 5 on February 17. The King Kong burger weighs 22 pounds and was inspired by Denny’s giant sandwiches. The team entrance fee is $104 and proceeds will go to the Children’s Home of York.

I respect charity! But, the winning 5 member team gets G C’s & T-shirts?! Can we please have some respect for the competitors!?! Gee, maybe the eaters could get their $$$ back, or have a lunch a week for a year. Something, for science sake.

Word, this place is my “eating zone.” I’m going to put together a rag-tag team of eaters and totally win those t-shirts. For the kids, man. I’m eating for the kids.

Uh, Joe… five gift certificates of $20 each equals $100. The T-shirts have to be worth at least $4, so I would say that the winning team is getting their money back.
