IFOCE winning percentages

Here are the top five IFOCE winning percentages according to the eatfeats database. The list was inspired by Joey Chestnut’s claim that he did not know his winning percentage. The first column is the number of victories, the second the total number of contest results and the third is the ratio of wins to contests.

That’s awesome OJ. Your database continues to amaze!

The three biggest surprises to me are Sonya Tim, and CLC being in the most number of contests, respectively. I would have guessed Badlands as participating the most.

OJ i was just going through some of the archieves and noticed that a large percentage of your posts from back in th day promoted my site to the max. The tone and the attitude has changed considerably for the worst since that time. The negative comments regardling myself and my site have been very poor over the past few years.I hope that will rebound . Most of the fans had nice things to say. Unfortunalty i cant say the same right now . These links are just an example of when things were going well. BTW Rhonda Evans it does state in one of the comments about the Crazy Legs episode that you did feel sorry for me.

1st column – number of victories according to the eatfeats database
2nd column – total number of contests participated in according to the databse
3rd column – victory percentage, 1st column divided by 2nd column

I think at times we have all said things that we wish we could take back, as well as have wished we could turn back the clock to say something nice to someone who needed to hear it. It’s unfortunate when anyone uses a potentially constructive, meaningful forum such as this to ridicule or berate others for God and everyone else to see.

It’s like the old saying goes, “Praise in public; chastise in private.” Any departure from that breeds hate, contempt, and ill will, and life’s simply too short, regardless of how long one lives, to engage in such silliness.

Awesome job compiling these numbers, OJ. It’s nice to see some old school guys on the list like DeVito and Jarvis. Not sure if you want to go here, but it’d also be interesting to see who has the LOWEST career winning percentages among eaters with 20 or more contests (or 30 or 40 contests… I’d imagine there are lots of eaters with no wins in 20+ contests).

Or at least tell us who has eaten in the MOST contests without a win. Not that there’s any shame in that. I’d actually have a lot of respect for the guy who keeps coming back for the love of the sport and competition despite knowing that he probably won’t win.
