The Hall of Very Good has an interview with Pat Bertoletti, who says that costumes have been banned for the Nathan's finals (he would have dressed as Evel Knievel) and that he prepared food for several members of the Chicago White Sox and wanted to put diet pills in the heavier player's meals.

Seriously, no Kobayashi and now no fun costumes? The silly outfits are the best part of the competition and allow those that aren’t named Joey or Kobayashi to shine. I was looking forward to Zombie Gravy. I guess might as well just have Joey on stage eating by himself this year. Super Paul. . .it looks like there won’t be much of a best dressed competition 🙁

That was the best interview ever. Laughed about 5 times reading that! Pat’s awesome.
