People who do these ‘eating challenges’ are mental.Even worse are the nutjobs who watch others do them. You folks are sick sick sick! With hungry people & starving children suffering daily right here in America & all over the world how can you justify this kind of conspicuous consumption?Competitive eating is a sign that our culture is deteriorating & the Apocolypse is near. You are all going to hell!!!

Perhaps, but we can live for a while in hell off of our body fat. Sorry to be fresh, but in my opinion, that response is about the same as your comment. Your ideas are a bit extreme. Yes, there are people in need of food, but not having eating contests and challenges will do nothing to address that problem.

Well, if I’m going to hell, I’m going to have a lot of friends there. Take your hate somewhere else, Keith. Nathan’s contributes food to the NYC food banks, as does IFOCE. When was the last time YOU contributed anything to the world but hate?

I don’t know if you are being serious or not “Keith Ford”, but this is a common thing I read on the interwebz. If this is how you truly feel, I hope you don’t drive a car, live in a house, buy clothes, eat out, have a gym membership, or partake in any hobbies that cost money. . .all these things could be traded in to buy food for starving people or donate to charity. Heck, how much is that internet connection costing you to post this? That could feed a starving child for 3 months! Unless you live like a pauper and donate every extra cent you have to charity, then STFU hypocrite!

    Keith,
Glad you chose to show up at this eating site. We occasionally hear from people such as yourself here. The bottom line is starvation has little to do with food, and much to do with political climate. The U.S. alone is capable of producing enough food for everyone in the world. And you mention hell…I suppose you will be joining me…as you appear to be a judgemental person, a clear sin in Judeo-Christian circles. CE people are not hurting anyone, so leave them alone. Maybe focus your energy on raising money for poor and hungry.

The term Judeo-Christian has been criticized for implying more commonality than actually exists. In The Myth of the Judeo-Christian Tradition, Jewish theologian-novelist Arthur A. Cohen questions the theological appropriateness of the term and suggests that it was essentially an invention of American politics.

first off if your against any type of competitive eating/challange then why are you even on this site???

second if say that person did go and eat those 20 tacos and just ate say 2… would those 18 other tacos go to starving kids? i dont think so

The term “dick-head” has been criticized because it doesn’t fully encompass the true dick-headedness of Keith Ford. In The Myth of the Dick-Head Tradition, dick-head expert Arthur A. Douchbag questions the appropriateness of the term dick-head as it applies to Kieth Ford and suggests that “dumbass-dick-head” is essentially a better description of Keith Ford.
