hey this is munchin mike longo……im just annoyed at how al these wing offs are all during the week. Like whats wrong with a weekend contest. I know I would be no favorite in this contest but being that its longer than most contest I know I could hold my own. Oh well. Maybe next year.

sucks. they might as well just invite whoever they want. don’t expect too many competitors outside of the northeast. nobody wants to make multiple trips to the area unless they have a decent shot to win it all. you would do well.

What part of Philadelphia’s Wing Bowl being designed as a local contest don’t you idiots get? READ the Wiki entry about it:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wing_Bowl

As a side note – Wing Bowl 15 (2007) was called Philadelphia Against The World, which was bullsh*t, as there were geographic limitations for the local eaters. You had to live in the counties around Philadelphia in Pennsylvania and New Jersey (not Delaware (?)) in WIP’s defined FCC listening area, unless you were invited by IFOCE to compete, which is why Joey, P-Bert, Sonya, Rich LeFevre, and Chip Simpson were there.

In other words, THEY DO INVITE WHOEVER THEY WANT! It’s their contest!

A Saturday afternoon qualifier for the Wing Bowl has been held at Slack’s Hoagie Shack. It might be added to this year’s schedule.

unless munchin mike and super squibb go way back, why would squibb want the competition? he already has to go toe to toe with simmons. we are still over a month away and wing bowl is already turning into a 3 ring circus. this has to be what it is all about.

Hey @1216 this munchin mike… thanks for the comment but I dont know why any eater would risk getting another eater in a contest of this magnitude. I mean you never know I could have a career day. But I would be nice to get into the bowl.

He didn’t finish the Zeus burger alone – it was a three man team effort with Squibb and Podelsky. If he ate one third of it, it was around four pounds. It’s not like he ate the whole thing himself, anonyass 8:49.

well local hate to tell ya this but it was a 16 plus pound burger from what I remember. And when you can finish it in a faster time than squibb, joel, and me. Then feel free to talk.

well there you go munchin mike, there might be a weekend qualifier for you after all. it is a good payday even if you are not a favorite. the landscape is constantly changing and you can never count yourself out. a year with no ifoce pros also completes the perfect storm. eat some wings.
