The Phoenixville News has an article about Rick "the Manager" Russo qualifying for the Wing Bowl. Bob Shoudt will be a member of Russo's entourage and "Gentleman" Jerry Coughlan (top 5 in 2007 & 2008 Wing Bowl, listed as a three time champion) will help with the float.

    as stated before a rather childish /jealous move on behalf of MLE to hold a wing contest the same day as Wingbowl in the hope of stealing attention. Glad Bob Shoudt went the other way

    US Male confirmed in his interview on 610 that the IFOCE was planning on doing a wing contest in Dallas for Superbowl week before any controversies between wing bowl and the IFOCE occurred. But I do have to agree that it is childish and very lame of the IFOCE to go ahead and attempt to steal the spotlight from wing bowl. Wing bowl is a better show and spectacle and will receive more national attention then joey chestnut once again defeating a slew of unrecognizable IFOCE members like Sean Brockport, and a few delusional locals from Dallas.

    As for Rick The Manager……he is a showman who truly understands the concept and values of wing bowl. Exciting to watch yes, would i bet on him to win, no.

    I assume Brockport is supposed to be me? Have you looked at the line up for MLE’s wing competition? The top 4 eaters in the world will be there a far cry from “a slew of unrecognizable IFOCE members”.

    Wrecking Ball, do not let anyone rain on your parade. Just enjoy and do your best, as I know you will. So many of these comments are ridiculous for many reasons. There is, after all, only one SuperBowl. Each contest is quite different. I am only sorry that the great fun that Steakbellie brought to WingBowl will be (I think?) missing this year. Wing Bowl Spectacle Party is different every year. Perhaps next year it will be MLE again or some group not even yet formed. You never ever know.
