Yeah I doubt the widow could have done what Ms Torres did. I am ready to proclaim her the new Queen of comp. Eating.

Go to your room anony 12:24 am, CONGRATULATIONS STEPHANIE. Yes, by all means, we need more talented women in competitive eating to stand alongside and compete against each other (and the boys). Welcome aboard, looking forward to your future in competitive eating.

Ms stephanie your are known to post all video’s of eating challenges on the web,why is that any video of completing this challenge is not posted on the net ? you are smiling way to much inthe video to have juz completed a 11pound pizza ur liable to be sued for making false video’s !!!

The pizzeria posted the video, not Stephanie.

Dragon Puff, did you watch the video? First to throw stones without listening. The pizzeria owner says clearly that she wasn’t feeling up to taping a video right after the challenge, that the challenge had been completed the day before. The owner says he did not expect anyone to be able to finish the challenge. As far as I can remember, only Joey or Koby have been interviewed right after their incredible eating feats and very briefly, just sound bites basically, not making videos. Sued for something over the net? Really now, that is beyond ridiculous. YouTube monitors for porn and copyright infringement with mixed results. Give Stephanie her due!!!

Stephanie does not generally record her own eating videos. The one from Red Devil is a major exception.
She probably does not want all this attention thrown her way. The only reason she receives it is because she is incredibly talented at eating. In fact, she has done a few other impressive challenges that no one knows about – and quite possibly no one ever will, because she is not out for the attention. If she wanted to, she could blow the top talent in comp. eating out of the damn water. You better believe that. Guys like excel and stonie and maybe even some pros should be grateful that she doesn’t do this stuff seriously.

You see the video has been doctor up……….. one by making the side view closer in……. 2 she already done.. so we think …….. I didt see her eat a thing……….

Plus we see her in ever eating video wear heavy jackets and something to hide her face and cover her head………………..

I am not sure if you’re being sarcastic/ironic here, but Sonya Thomas did destroy the 9-lb. Barrick Burger, which is huge. Anyone who could eat that could also eat the 11-lb. Hugilio Pizza! Both Sonya and Steph are amazing eaters!

For reference, I am not sure which pic below is the Barrick Burger, but they both are huge:

The comparisons to Sonya are just a bit much and unfair to Stephanie. That sort of thing sets her up to get slammed really bad the first time she fails to deliver. That’s not fair.

  25. Anonymous said

    February 24, 2011 @ 2:56 pm

Well… 9 lbs is less than 11 lbs. It’s not clear that someone who could eat 9 lbs could so easily fit in two more, though in Sonya’s case she might be able to do it.

On to the conspiracy theorists… really? Come on. Is she required to wear the same stuff in every photo or video?

Her ability is so pronounced that she has no need to doctor up videos. The comedy is that she doesn’t give a damn about all this stuff. You guys can run all your little comments, but she’s living her life.

The nine pounds by Sonya was in less than a half hour. I read she had dessert afterwards. Yeah, I think she might be able to squeeze in a bit more. Anyway all this is so funny.

To those that think she didn’t actually do this: Keep in mind the owner gave her $1000 because she finished it. I highly doubt he would have done that had she not actually finished it!

It has been reported that Sonya has a capacity of approximately 18 lbs.

The irony is that Stephanie is not a self-promoter in the least. If there’s a video of her being awarded $1000 for a nearly-impossible eating challenge, you can rest assured that it really happened.

How many minutes did Stephanie do it in?

  33. A. Nonymous said

    February 24, 2011 @ 5:30 pm

    1 extra large egg = 2 ounces, 60 * 2 = 120 ounces / 16 = 7.5 pounds

Blizz, look at the controversy surrounding the Gyro challenge that some unknown woman finished, yet Will Millender and Joe LaRue couldn’t finish, because the amount of contest food given to them was considerably more. The disreputable owner gave her $666.

The jury is still out on whether Kate Stelnick was actually the first finisher (alone) of the Ye Olde 96’er at Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub, and look at the publicity she and the restaurant both received.

Stephanie, if you legitimately finished this challenge, congratulations.
