    I just don’t understand why you keep posting these polls when you know that a solid chunk of the people participating in the voting doesn’t take it seriously. All you have to do is look at the poll results so far, and you can tell that people are either trying to make a mockery of the poll, or they’re trying to push themselves or the friends up through the rankings. Certain guys simply don’t belong where they’re currently ranked in this poll. An honest argument can’t be made they deserve to be where they’re currently ranked in the poll. But they’re there right now because the people voting are taking it seriously. I think a poll, when voters don’t take it seriously, does more harm than good, and I think you’re wasting your time, our time, and doing us a disservice by administering it.

    After being in and contributing to the game as long as Brian Seiken has, there should be a place forever reserved for him within the top 10, along with an honorary seat at the head of the table every July 4th!

    Pat, did the IFOCE actually give you their blessing to do what you want? I know of another midranked eater about to take the plunge and swim in uncharted waters.

    He posts the polls because he has nothing better to do. The only rankings that count are MLE rankings. Sad that some of the people that actually believe in these polls have such fragile egos that being ranked anywhere in life means that much to them. You should run a comic poll as to which eater has the worst or best looking wife or which eater rarely takes a bath or brushes teeth

    In a legitimate poll of lifetime contributions to competitive eating, Lerman and Seiken would be in the top two! Every other eater owes them a tremendous debt .People like Koby, Joey, and Sonya are a dime a dozen, but there will forever be only one Moses and Beautiful Brian. Nuff said!
