Gluttonous Queens try to bankrupt a buffet

tomokoandfriends.jpg

In her most recent blog entry, Tomoko Miyake reports that she and her sister, Naoko, went to a buffet for lunch Saturday with several finalists from the 2006 and 2007 “Gluttonous Queen” contests. They arrived when the restaurant opened at 11am and stayed until the lunch buffet closed until 4pm. Tomoko thinks she ate the least of her party.

The buffet they ate at, Rouji
not only offers all you can eat food and non alcoholic drinks, but also includes unlimited alcoholic beverages for an extra fee (1200 yen for men, 900 yen for women)

What’s with the peace sign fingers? That gets completely annoying. Anytime someone points a camera at one of these Gluttonous Queens shes doing that.

    Quit it already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that’s the Gluttonous Queens’ group sign. It’s similar to the UEPa’s slogan, “Seconds?” (which is now under consideration to be changed to “Thirds?”). I remember Gal saying how much she liked our “totally bitchin” logo, so that’s probably what inspired them to follow suit with the “Seconds” hand sign.

Son, that’s a Victory sign. Be proud of it. The allied forces in WW II helped make it what it is today. That it caught on worldwide is a tribute to the efforts of the allied men and women who saved the world from Nazi tryranny.

it’s also significant because everyone aspires to do the “DEUCE”

…and the “DEUCE” is typically what follows a marathon trip to an all-you-can-eat buffet.

It’s getting so anymore that if an eater can’t break the 20 mark he or she might be looked at as being inept.
