He would break every record ever made in ideal conditions and consistence regarding the food type.

Peter Dowdeswell has some sausage eating records that are pretty epic. There were some others that seemed pretty damn tough too, but I agree.

Awesome job and kudos to Koby.

It would be nice if they would open the doors wider for more challenges, so new records could be established. I wonder how they decide which foods/durations merit considerations for endorsement.

R.E. Guinness will not recognize feats of gluttony contest which are all you can eat will never be acknowledged. However feats of consumption which are for speed with a set amount like a dozen donuts, 10 snickers bars and the such will be.

Who cares? Kobi did another eating contest against himself? No! I don’t believe it! Hahahaha seriously? A sm pizza. A lil cheesesteak. Some Twinkie’s. No wonder he can’t face Joey & the others. He’s to busy doing sissy stunts for publicity. Wow. Ya won a wing contest rigged by a nobody announcer at a do nothing radio station in a crappy city. All hail the conquering hero! Watch the video on WIP website & ya can see it was rigged. Mess in front of Kobi, Squib going litespeed, some girl picking meat off Wingador’s judging plate. His win was a fraud. Funny part is they think it matters. Why don’t you go up against real champions to prove ya can eat? Kobi vs a clock has been done over and Over and OVER and OVER again. CE isn’t about Guinness Book standings. He can do them til he dies. If he has enough money he can be ranked as anything in that book. He’s still a do nothing punk to me til he sits at the Nathan’s table again. Take the belt back if ya so good Kobi. Probably couldn’t. Afraid to face real eaters. Afraid to do sanctioned events with weighed results again now that ya tasted what fraud winning is like? Tastes like 20g’s? He’s a hack. A washed up story from days gone by. Go home, give ya jaw a break since it’s so broken. Those medical problems seem to really be holding ya back. Hahaha What a joke.

KvK: Seriously? Kobi still has to prove to you that “he can eat”? After all he’s done, you’re not convinced? Sounds to me like you’re harboring some sort of illogical personal vendetta against him. I suppose he must have taken a post-contest dump on the hood of your El Camino at some point in the past or some such. I’m not the biggest Kobi fan in the world, but I can certainly at least respect the man’s talent. You just come across as a petty windbag.

If i was a betting man i would say 1249 is Joey Chestnut in the flesh or a very close IFOCE partner of his

There is a new american sports hero and his name is Jeremy Lin and he just happens to be Asian also . Just last month he was sleeping on his brothers sofa. Those days will be over very soon

KvK, I agree that eating against yourself/against the clock isn’t as challenging as head-to-head competition; and yes, I do not like Koby challenging MLE records using his own rules and settings; I think it’s cheap. But since Koby left MLE, he has no one to eat against doesn’t dominate in competition.

So what else can the man do? He annihilated all comers in WB, and he has dusted Furious Pete several times (and Pete is one of the top couple of independents out there).

I think Koby is as good or better than he ever has been, especially since he has dropped about 30 in the last three years or so.

Takeru Kobayashi is the antithesis of a “joke.” So much so that Joey Chestnut is about the only person in the world he would not absolutely mop up the floor with in about 90% of all contests.

If he’s a joke, may he keep me laughing!

Hey Knick Fan, Jeremy Lin is an Asian sensation! I bet Golden State and Hoston are both sorry they waived him.

He’s sayin “Look at me now!”

Oh … sorry … back to CE.

Give it up already I’d put my life down on line that Kobi would take you out at Nathans this year after all he already did last year but oh yeah I forgot that contest was rigged like wing bowl. Well, lots of debris flying here. A few responses. MLE did not kick Koby out, he refused to sign the contract they wanted him to sign, guessing that neither party was happy about that overall, but that is what Koby decided. Then he got arrested etc. I am guessing that both Koby and Joey would love to compete against each other in hotdogs again. Highly doubtful given all circumstances unless MLE does a one off contest, then maybe it will happen. Joey may be contemplating retiring in the next few years so the time is closer if it is going to happen. Isn’t X next in line, not Bertoletti in hotdogs.

It is completely true, as Rhonda says, Koby has no one to compete against. All that stuff about his faking jaw injury………not true but some people will never be convinced so no point in re-hashing that. Overall, maybe, and many will know the answer here, Joey has lost to more top eaters than Koby, person to person, but again, no point in re-hashing that because circumstances played a part, the so called jawthritis etc.

One really stupid comment somewhere else is saying that he/Koby is arrogant, that he has lived here and refuses to speak English. He has been competing here since he first stunned at Nathans but only living here very recently. It takes time to learn a language, some people are better at it than others. And I have never bought into the USA Japan or any other country stuff. The best eater at any given contest should be the winner, all other things being conducted fairly (rare but it sometimes happens, more so with MLE perhaps than other places but who knows).
