What’s Big Mama’s & Papa’s angle on this one, other then to take another team (or teams) of six money… Isn’t this challenge meant for 7 or 8 people on a normal basis? What makes them think they can find another team dumb enough to not only think they can do it with 6, but also BEAT the like of Pete, Goose, Naader and crew?

They should at the very least let the other teams have 8 and label it “Pro’s vs Joe’s… Can you and your 7 friends beat 6 Pro-eaters”… Looking on Yelp, Big Mama’s website and youtube, no normal team has even been close, and when I say close it doesn’t look like any team has finished even more then half! Now, unless they are giving the pizza for free and doing it all for Promo then that’s another story, if not I don’t see another team doing it unless they want to drop $250 just for the experience.

Obviously there’s no common sense here. The “6 Pros vs 8 Joes” angle would be very cool from a marketing angle. The currently assembled second “Wreckess Eating” team has a huge task ahead of them. Unless BMPP could assemble the likes of Stephanie Torres and Randy Santel in the next 11 days it looks like very wishful thinking.

Wreckless Eating can at least profit by this for their youtube channel. Seems like we’ll see a lot of this event on youtube with Johhnie, Yours, Pete and WE’s channel.

As for normal folks though, it almost seems like Big Mama’s are trying to exploit others into taking their money to just be part of the youtube sensation/epic contest. Still would be cool to see a couple teams of 8-10 get their asses served to them by the pros.

Lol I bet we could assemble teams of 15 that wouldn’t finish that sidewalk of a pizza. Two years ago I joked about trucking one of these pizzas in and feeding the entire school I worked for.

no you can’t, trust me when I say that, and all the so-cal heavy hitters are already on the team CE team.

But feel free to go down there, I’m sure the WE guys will have plenty of pizza left over.
