Brian Seiken has added a quiz about Sonya Thomas enabling fans to test their knowledge of the world’s greatest female competitive eater.

    I wouldnt say the greatest but shes probably in the top two or three.

    Anonymous, if Sonya Thomas isn’t the world’s greatest female eater, then who is? I can’t imagine anyone even coming close.

    Good point, but lilke many people, I’m skeptical about her true CE talent. Too many of her contests are over-edited TV productions created strictly for entertainment and shock value. She hasn’t been tested enough in a live contest setting.

    We saw how suspicious those Japanese CE productions can be from “Anonymous’s” account of the pizza/pumpking contest thing in which the TV crews urged G-Joe to eat slower and allowed Miyake to take 30 minute bathroom breaks.

    CE in Japan is like WWE pro wrestling in the U.S…fun to watch, but hard to take seriously. If you told me tomorrow that all of Gal Sone’s televised eating challenges were completed staged, I wouldn’t be surprised one bit.
