Jewish Jocks: An Unorthodox Hall of Fame was released today. The section about Don "Moses" Lerman, part of which can be read on Google Books, credits him as the innovator of competitive eating and the popularizer of techniques like water training. Heartiest of Congratulations to Don. It does not matter one bit what anyone on here says, he is in the book solo, it is getting reviewed in many places including Tablet Magazine. Yes, there may be others, yes perhaps some details, like in every single book, are not completely accurate, he is being celebrated for his achievements and deserves all that is written. If others deserve things too, yes, often it is simply luck which decides who gets chosen or what an author comes across of even, heaven forbid, some eaters might support each other and suggest each other for interviews. That does happen, I know that for a fact, and mostly it happens because of eaters who do so and never comment on here and have stopped reading the nasty comments people have written. As ye sow so shall ye reap. The Bible got some things definitely right.
