Kobayashi on Krystal withdrawal

Kobayashi has a blog entry about his absence from the Krystal finals in both English and Japanese. He reports his injury caused him to drop out of the turkey contest:

Reviewing my training schedule, and decreasing the strain on my jaw by drawing out my breaks as long as possible, I managed to make it to the entry stage of the contest, but unfortunately my jaw couldn’t hold up to the consecutive battles. Injured again in action, I was forced to step down part way through the second competition.

It seems like he knows he is going to lose so he is using this injury situation as a cop out. I bet he quit turkey because he knew he was losing to Pat and Joey.

Try to remain calm, my Kobyashi-less Krystal Final predictions are already up on my MySpace blog-let the arguing, and not-caring, begin!!

It’s going to be very, very predictable, order-of-finish-wise. Joey is a solid favorite to win, and I know he will, but with Koby out, I doubt he will eat more than 100-103. I think Pat will do about 90, give or take a couple. Joey is still at least 10 Krystals better than Pat.

Humblebob could suprise and win it all this year. If he can eat over 40 in two minites he can do over 100 in eight.
