Sweet corn contest apparently renewed

It appears that an IFOCE sanctioned corn contest will take place on April 27 at the 2008 Sweet Corn Fiesta based on the fiesta webpage:

Feel like you could eat a barrel of sweet corn if given the opportunity? Enter the Adult International Corn Eating Contest and compete against the 2007 Corn King.

    Been there done that. Only two people have ever done more corn than me – Crazy Legs Conti and Jammin Joe La Rue. Everyone else who has tried has failed. I have finished third in the last two years in a row. 2006 Joe came in first with Crazy second and in 2007 Crazy finished first with Joe second. This year I will not settle for third. It is difficult for me to get to contests that are more than 8 hours travel time (most of them). And after a miserable showing on my part at last years Krystal in Jacksonville I am ready to take first place here. There is a reason why they call corn on the cob the great equalizer – so if you are competing you better bring your A game. Good Luck.

    Thanks Joe. It’ll be good to see you too. As well as the others. After visiting the IFOCE.com website to register, is it me or did they forget how to spell my name again. I guess I have a chip on my shoulder for never coming in first in a major competition. They mention Chip, Hall, and Justin all of whom I beat three years in a row. And I also broke the world record of the previous years for two years in a row. Or maybe it’s because I have peronally bested some of the top dogs of the company. Hmmm. Maybe I should call 1-800 Wah Wahh. Oh well and least the corn tastes good. Good luck all.

    US Male is one of the most dynamic new eaters in the world. He entered the scene at last year’s Wing Bowl and showed he was no fluke as he hung tough again this year. Taking 4th behind Chesnut, Bertoletti, and El Wingador proves that he belongs among the elite. If he can rip through all those wings at 7am imagine the show he’ll put on with corn. Remember… the US MALE always delivers!!!!
