2006/7 Nathan’s qualifier schedule release dates

The previous two years, the qualifying circuit for Nathan’s was released by March 1, 2006 and March 2, 2007.

An anonymous commenter claims that the Nathan’s finals in 2008 will be an invitational, with the 2007 finalists invited (presumably excluding Dale Boone) along with one or two others.

    That claim doesn’t make any sense. If that’s the case, then that would mean the Saratoga Qualifier didn’t count, which according to the IFOCE site, it did, or it means that the IFOCE felt it was necessary for Crazy Legs to qualify twice for some reason. Either way, it sounds like BS.

    I’m sure the IFOCE will be all over it the minute Nathan’s qualifier dates come out. Invitation only would make no sense at all. If that were the case you could say bye bye to discovering new talent in that food.

    I hear it is first come first serve for the wild card spots, so I have a tent I’ll be living in outside Nathan’s till July 4th.

    Spike tv drew over 900,000 viewers during the Super Bowl. That doesn’t sound like a flop.

    I heard they are taking a cue from Willa Wonka and will hide golden tickets in select Nathan’s packaging across the world. Those who win a qualifier won’t get in, but they will have an increased chance of finding a winning ticket with their year supply of hot dogs.

    Remain calm, all is well – qualifiers for Nathan’s are as inevitable as spring showers and May flowers. Prepare yourself for many meat by-products without buying ticket enhanced meat products.

    To make up for not having any international qualifiers last year, they’re all international this year. International transations take a little longer and thus the delay.

    This is a disgrace . All those damn years they got qualifiers and now its by invitation only. Maybe the entire ifoce schedule should be by invitation only. I think dem wilcards are bullshit if you ask me . Either you win a qualifier or you dont.
