Field 3 – 1
Joey Chestnut 5 – 6
Takeru Kobayashi 10 – 11


Gambling911.com says that Bookmaker.com has an over/under bet

    Joey wins by 2…Pat 2nd, Koby’s armor is cracked, he comes in third…now who is in who’s head?? But…Koby earns valuable Best Dressed Eater Points for Condiment head. The Tim’s, Hall, Pat, and Kevin Ross – I look for them to hopefully make spectacles of themselves…..worst total will be 18 dogs, dunno by who…big question – can Patrick VanDam make the top 5, and have a “Joey-like” rookie performance?
    Humble Bob has downplayed this, but I know he’ll do well – anywhere from third to sixth. No matter what, Rich will eat the most at the post-contest party, and Crazy Legs will have the best time!!

    Hey Super Paul! I agree with several of your Krystal Ball predictions, but as always all of what you write and say is very entertaining. I agree with Bubba that you’d make a heck of a commentator.
    However, I see Koby coming on top of Joey, but only by a dog or so. The rest of the top 6:

    Koby 61
    Joey 60
    Pat 48
    Tim 43 1/2
    Sonya 40 1/2
    Humble Bob 40 1/2

    Oh, I forgot my gal “The Lovely” Juliet. She’ll do a new personal best, perhaps 30+!

    I also see Pat VD, Tim Brown, Rich, and Hall all doing a few more than 30. Dr. Big Time may do the tre as well.

    Imagine, a dozen people doing 30+ … !

    1. He might, but even if he does, whoever does it will have to win many more Nathan’s before that person even begins to approach Koby’s level of CE greatness.

    2. Don’t bet too much money against him not winning.

    3. From the votes thus far in the poll here on eatfeats, the odds are against that happening.

    Pat has about as much chance of winning as Douche does. Pat won’t come within seven HDBs of Joey OR Koby.

    Is there any word on whether the original mustard yellow belt will be back this year? Or are they going to use the one made for last year’s event again? Also, Pat, no matter what happens, you are a winner in my book.
