Non-IFOCE rankings updated, Furious Pete #1
The picnic style rankings have been updated after five contests this weekend. The new top 5:
1. Furious Pete Czerwinski, Canada (*Undefeated)
2. Tom “Goose” Gilbert MA
3. Gentleman Joe Menchetti CT
4. Ian “The Invader” Hickman VA
5. Elizabeth “Rubber-Gut” Canady OH
New entrants include Steven Dhoko (#20), Jon Taylor (#23), Justin Mih (#31), Brad Sciullo (#39), Zika “The Barbarian” Urosevic (#41) and Kara Walker (#44). The previous rankings are still available in the yahoo cache.

I thought, as did Furious Pete that his rise through the rankings was a bit premature.

Personally, unless Brad’s eating ability or desire has significantly deteriorated, I expect him to zoom into the top eight after he does two to three more contests.

Wasn’t Brad putting himself in the hospital alot with his training? If he gets that drive again, I can see him getting maybe into the top 10, but not 8.

Actually, I can understand the logic to OJ’s wording of the ranking title. After all, the eaters are independent, and for the most part not “members” of aice, with some exception. Maybe the best title would be “AICE’s rankings of independent eaters”

Elizabeth and Jill are tops. Sonya is still a gosd eater and I have to give it to her because I dont think there are more that 40 or 50 female eaters in the world who are better than her.

I agree Joe. Pete should not have been ranked number one this early. It all came to an end when he lost head-to-head to some unknown and unranked rookie picked at random named Will Millender doing a sport science hamburger contest for a TV show. LOL. The TV host was stunned and said this had to be a major upset, since Pete was ranked number 1 at the time.

Wasn’t Stephanie Torres also number one in AICE at some point and then she lost to some unknown guy?
