Poll on BB.com continuation

BeautifulBrian.com is hosting a poll which asks if the website should be moved to a new provider when hometown.aol.com closes at the end of the month. The choices in the poll are:

  • CONTINUE BLOGGING IN IT’S CURRENT FORMAT
  • CHANGE IT’S FORMAT TO ALL SPORTS
  • CONTINUE BLOGGING WITHOUT BEAUTIFULBRIAN’S CORNER
  • BECOME A HATER’S EATING WEBSITE

    I hope he sticks around awhile. I like seeing what BB has to say, and I often find information, videos, coverage there that is available nowhere else. The man’s original, and I like that.

    I agree with Wing Kong. The BB.com corner brings interesting news out there for all in CE to see. Weather you agree or not, it is his opinion. Nothing wrong with a little honesty in the world of CE once in a while.

    When Brian isn’t talking about himself, it is very entertaining. His hate posts are the best part. I just wish he would use better formatting. Could that be one of the options to vote for?

    I think you meant insightful. INCITEful could mean something totally different. Well, actually Brian does incite some reaction from his haters, but I say he should stay with the same format. If anyone doesn’t like it, they aren’t obligated to read it. No matter what he does, they’ll talk their usual smack about him.

    Brian’s site whether all of us admit it or not is a must read for all competitive eaters. I personally enjoy it, for its insight and humor. Brian and I haven’t always agreed on everything, but notice that not one negative comment has come from a MLE eater. If you’re a MLE eater who doesn’t like Brian’s site, Man-up say you don’t like it, and attach your name and email to your post. We know who the haters are. Brian, keep going for 6 more years!

    Stick around BB and keep the same format. your blog is a CE staple. even if you have to pay for a professional website, it will be worth the investment, but If you want to go the free route, do the blogspot thing and shorten BB’s corner for youtube, in any case, stay in the blogging game bro.

    Right now it’s too much whining, too many too long paragraphs – if he can shorten up the whole deal – less him, more about eating news, no “they didn’t love me enough” complaints…then he can stay. He can be funny, and informative…stay out of your own way, BB, and then you are truly more “beautiful”.

If YOU are not satisfied w/ ur site, and cannot figuer it out, maybe some of the above advice is worth looking at. The offing of one’s self is completly out of the question. I’d like to get my hands on who ever said that. I like the format and if people want something more high tech…take up a collection from CE purses for the cause.     I truly appreciate both sides of the forum. The haters and the lovers. I just wish the haters would post their real names but i can see why they refuse to do so . These specific individuals are ex or current IFOCE members that ive either trashed on bits and pieces or had some beef with in person. One or two might be in arnies crew but that remains to be seen. I also believe that some of the hate comments were just the tip of the iceberg. I can just imagine some of the more brutal remarks made about me that were screened and deleted by OJ. I cant say there is any love lost between myself and Cookie Jarvis but at least he is man enough to attach his real name to the post unlike some of you other pathetic fags that hide behind the PC just to get their digs in without having to reveal their real identity. And why should they? Their main objective is make BB look like shit in front of an audience with the hope that the audience believes them. I can easily reel off the names at random . I dont need OJ’s IP’s to figure out who they are. The fallacy that these anti BB posters are not directly involved in CE or outsiders so to speak is false. The sport has not risen to that level where outside sources or fans of the sport are involved in taking potshots at competitive eaters. These are individuals whom at one time or another i was on good terms with . You know who you are . Eventually i will rat you out so why not make it easy on yourself and do it now. Ever watch Perry Mason? The gulity party always surfaces at the end. As far as the good people in the sport such as Hall Hunt, badlands Steak Subich,Barlow US Male Mike C , , Moses, Krazy Kevin, Pat B, Toro, Kong, Gravy , Wild Bill , Bubba., Reeves. If i left out your name dont take it personal. It might be intentional it might not.If u have a guilty conscience i expect to hear from you. Look at it like what the hell have you done for me lately? BTW some of the names mentioned were kind enough to either buy my CD or help me make it happen. Thats a step above what i referred to as a competiive eating aqcuaintance more like a friend in need is a friend indeed! Good people of that caliber give me a reason to want to continue with BB.com

    I think the best way to solve this is to use anonymous1 anonymous 2 etc ect thus avoiding confusion . Can you imagine if baby tags were not applied to new born infants in maternity ward? We would have so many anonymous babies it would be chaotic.

    Negative people are always the loudest, don’t listen to them if blogging is something that continues to be fun or fulfilling to you. Whether or not I always agree with it, I like seeing your perspective on your site. But maybe AOL no longer being your provider will be a blessing in disguise. It’ll suck getting everything back up and running with a different service you aren’t familiar with, but in the end it might be easier and more intuitive for yourself and the readers. I say keep beautiful brian’s corner as well. Not that you were asking for advice about this, but in case you want mine, I think making it youtube friendly like badlands suggested would be a good way to go and would get more people to watch. The embedded video on your site can be a little awkward, especially if one wants to fast forward to get to the juicy bits. But I guess the problem with that might be that youtube could be more censored. Anyway, regardless of what you decide to do, hopefully you won’t make any decisions based on anyone else’s opinion and will do whatever makes you the most happy!

    Exposing the IP’s wont really help you with much of anything. I can sit at my desk and post from IP’s in many different states, so that’s not going to help you too much Mr. Perry Mason wanna-be.
    You’re not going to ‘rat out’ the people, so don’t even say you will, it just puts you on the same level as the anonymous posters that you complain so much about.
    If you want to run your site, then run it. If you don’t then don’t. A poll about it is just a way to try and get a few more hits, and unless you are getting hundreds of votes, what does it matter?

    While I do spend WAY too much time on this site, I do not have the time to back & analyze what posts were posted by BB under “anonymous” or any other pseudonym.

    That said, he has certainly in the past posted under numerous identities.

    I thought I had seen several others recently.

    I hope BB maintains his eating site & am glad that Lerman has switched to politics.

    Hopefully, he remains in politics…unfortunately I doubt it.

    In fact, he would have answered this if I didn’t put up that he’d answer it. He may anyway.

    Brian… you and I usually don’t see eye-to-eye, but I must say that your site serves much more of a service to the competitive eating community (both eaters and fans) than a dis-service. I hope you keep it going somewhere else as it is sometimes informative and usually amusing.

    Brian,

    I have always enjoyed your site. You have the guts to post what often no one else will. I have always told you it is tough to be the National Enquirer of competitve eating and simultaneously be a competitive eater yourself and friends with the people you are writing about. It is a thin red line and tough to maneuver around it. I for one, sincerely hope that you find a way to keep BB.com going.

    By the way, your CD was a great investment. Not only do Lorraine and I like it, but our baby 5 month old daughter loves it. If she is upset, when I pop it in, it really soothes here and puts a smile on her face and she relaxes. At first I thought it might be a fluke, but everytime I put it in, the same reaction. It is the only CD I have tried that can relax her.
