Bob Shoudt won the first prize of $1000 in yesterday's hot dog eating contest held at Fish Tales in Ocean City, MD. update Bob Shoudt's total was 52 hot dogs, making him the 6th person I am aware of to have eaten 50+ hot dogs in a 10 minute hot dog contest (Kobayashi, Chestnut, Stonie, Janus, Bertoletti).

    Btw, OJ. Bob is NOT a member of the 50 Club. You have to do it with Nathan’s natural casing hot dogs and at a Nathans’s qualifier or finals. Anywhere else with any other dogs and under any other supervision is not comparable, especially with Bob’s reputation for bending the rules and bullying refs.

    I was there when Jarvis made the comment about Shoudt dad . At that same contest they raffled off some prizes in which his dad was a winner of a portable DVD player which for some reason Shoudt had a hard time claiming . I think Shoudt ate 16 hot dogs then headed to Atlanta for another qualifier

    If the comments are coming from Seiken he has the right to express his feelings . Say what you want think what you want he’s not going anywhere and the only reason he was removed beside his demand in rankings, was the Sheas finally caving in to your demands.     I am sure that no one made comments to the Sheas about Seiken’s ranking. Why would they? They know the Sheas make up their own minds. Seiken and anyone can have an opinion, of course.     I would call it different pastures. Unlike the other organizations, MLE is a business. But with other organizations and the challenges and any contests, what it all comes down to is product placement and getting publicity for your restaurant or product. Pretty simple I think. I would love it if Kobayashi were still with MLE. But he couldn’t understand why he could eat Nathan’s hotdogs one day and basically promote another brand in a different contest. So he moved on. He was the best in so many ways. Even his not speaking English was a plus. He was mysterious. MLE protects the products it promotes. Simple I think.

MLE is a business, these so called pets are good for business so they are ranked high just like Seiken must be a good postal sorter, so he’s still employed at the post office.

    You do not move up in rank being a postal sorter or receive any type of merit or monetary reward being a postal sorter or for that matter a machine operator in the postal service. You need to take tests to move up or know someone to move up or fuck someone to move up . Thats the stone cold truth . Trust me from someone who’s done hard time there .
    There are different pay levels or structures in the postal service which start as low as grade 2 which is custodian to level 36 which is second in line to the plant manager who is rarely seen and who’s yearly salary is somewhere around $163k Postal sorters or mailhandlers are level 4 & 5 and make around 57k . Many have actually started as Level 4 or 5 but changed craft to Level 2 because the breaks are better and they get paid for basically replacing garbage bags in the cafeteria and showing up with an occasional dust pan to sweep the floor . The pay structure isnt that great a difference.
    Matter fact the difference in pay between postal sorters and supervisors who’s level is 17 and up is maybe 7k . Supervisors cannot go home after 8hrs because they have to stay until all the mail is out while the sorters or maihhanlders can leave after 8hrs or work OT at their discretion
    . Maybe you should brush up on your facts about the postal service before you talk shit Mr hearing aid specialist or shall i say fitter which is more fitting to your craft

    To compare Kobayashi to Seiken is like comparing apples to oranges and i am not talking eating skills because it’s a no brainer and then some in that regard. Kobayahsi and others were offered lucrative deals far beyond those of mortal men while Seiken was never offered anything PERIOD! Kobayashi in my estimation is a spoiled brat . 20k was placed on the table 5yrs ago as an incentive for Kobe to sign the contract not including prize money for Nathans and other perks or incentives . If Seiken was offered 2k to stay with MLE he would probably jump for joy. Some people don’t appreciate the little things in life with the mindset that the grass is greener somewhere else. Ok it’s a known fact that Seiken did not put up the stats did not make it to the Nathans finals but did more away from the table to promote the organization even though many did not agree with his style of writing or the controversial way he promoted on his website , podcasts and webcasts. No doubt he was way ahead of his time and a pioneer but its unfortunate his attributes will never be appreciated . Self evident in the fact that he was kicked out like a dog without any explanation via email or phone. What does that tell you? People you are dealing with are basically classless and scum . Many of you whom are no longer with MLE would just love to chime in and agree but because they hate Seiken more than they hate MLE they remain silent .

    Seiken is a whacko. He was not kicked out like a dog with no explanation. He over estimated his value to the league (which obviously wasn’t much to begin with) and made a stupid ultimatum demanding to be ranked in the 30’s where he absolutely didn’t belong or not be ranked at all. He got his wish. Stop dreaming, no one is offering Seiken 2k or any k to stay in MLE, he is out and out for good. Ex eaters like Janus, Pat B, Davekos, Gordon, even the Goldstein’s would be welcome back before Seiken would.

    This is Allen Goldstein mindset which might explain why he posts here all the time. He got tossed from MLE rankings . His intent was to leave and realized he would get thrown out after doing the rib challenge but he still couldnt accept the fact that he was actually removed from the rankings or that the Sheas would have the balls to remove him after giving him a highly inflated ranking all those years which everyone knows he did not deserve

    If Goldstein was ranked 15 spots below his actual place in 2005, then Seiken would have been ranked some where in the 70’s. Word on the street is the producers of that CE documentary were advised not to use Seiken for any interviews or input since he contributed nothing to CE for his entire career except a string of last place finishes and a fluke pickle title. This is the truth..

    Goldstein had no idea that during the 2007 08 period Seiken would email reps of Nathans and exec of the IFOCE asking to dump Goldstein from the rankings because he was an annoying troublemaker fishing for info so he could register for the easy ones. Goldstein even went so far to make up a story that they created a special wild card just for him. When word got back to Rich Shea Shea replied Tell Goldstein what the hell is he smoking”

    This meeting will fall through or any interview will be tossed in the trash after final editing. This will happen for several reasons: 1- Seiken is ghastly on camera 2- In order to be in a CE movie you either have to be or have been a competitive eater. 3- Once the producers find out Seiken is sore about getting dumped and only wants to trash the Shea’s, bye bye Bri Bri……..
