Molly Schuyler wins Big Dill pickle contest

Dan Kennedy has posted the top five from Sunday’s professional pickle eating contest at The Big Dill in Baltimore:

1st Molly Schuyler 10 lbs 3 oz
2nd Dan Killer Kennedy 9 lb 9 oz
3rd Andy Puhl 8 lb 4 oz
4th Sean Yeager 7 lb 11 oz
5th Josh “The Goat” Krady 7 lb 4 oz

    A. I was sick. B. I knew going in, 3rd place was my best realistic option. C. With the switch to chips from spears, as I am all speed with no capacity, that lessened as well. D. I probably would not have come in the top 5 with the results shown. E. I’m comforted by my winnings from the prior week. ????

    Nope–Joe Menchetti and Dan Rock did not compete/attend. An amateur named Stephen Buchanan competed and got last place with ~2 lbs.

    @6:02, Nate Klein finished just behind Josh the Goat according to final tally. There was some questioning of the final counts / total weights, but have not yet seen a video to confirm the results. It was pretty tight contest though overall, due to the uniqueness of the food and the containers in which pickles were required to be eaten out of.

    Again, I planned to go KNOWING that 3rd place was my highest possible outcome. I traveled TO Oklahoma City for donuts, knowing I’d be going up against Molly and Dan. One of them finished a few seconds ahead of me. I am trash in a long contest and have no capacity. I do not train. I am world class in 5 Mins or less.

    I was watching a live stream of the contest and krady definitely was not the “goat” here.

    It was brought to my attention that there may have been an error with the final totals of the contest. I take these comments seriously, and ended up reviewing several videos to confirm or dispute these claims.

    After reviewing the videos, I unfortunately found that after stage assistants counted each eaters’ stacks of cups, two were not put back in the correct spot… juxtaposing the totals.

    The correct placings are:

    1- Molly Schuyler
    2- Dan Kennedy
    3 – Andrew Puhl
    4 – Sean Eats
    5 – Nathan Klein
