    Theres an saying in Yiddish “Ref Meir Pisha”in other words you don’t like it lump it , I’m no longer a pro haven’t been for sometime, all my friends and fans have nothing but good to say. I’m practicing everyday . You think 1 min. was fast well you ain’t seen nothing yet!

    It’s been my (little) experience that people have fun when they know there’s a ringer anyway. Some of those other times on the board were great too. Unfortunately, I was approved off work for Strawberries so I will not be qualifying for this event. Good luck.

    If lerman wins they will say he beat a bunch of very poor non professional eaters . I think pete murniki should compete. at least give don a run for his money

    That joke who goes by the name of “Tom” should be banned from competing in anything. According to the video he states”why should i continue don won anyway?” Oh boo hoo Tom. Tom you are not only a whimp but a disgrace to the sport of competitive eating. If this is the caliber of eaters that Don Lerman will face in the finals, he might as well compete against himself than go up against these losers.

    Good for Go Go Curry!

    Hopefully, Don isn’t pressured to withdraw.

    For those non-pros, or independents who may be concerned about beating Don.

    He is a senior citizen.

    He has never been great at distance, which the finals are. (This is not an insult, i’m not great at distance either)

    The qualifier is pure speed. That won’t go away…ever. Its not something you can really train for, you either have it or you don’t.

    If someone like Bob Kuhns, or Elizabeth Cannady enters this, they probably beat Lerman, me & nearly everyone else.

    I say lay off Don. Which is better, Don bitching about his health , his ass or his dentures or Don competing in something he does best which is eating? . It’s like damn if he does or damn if he doesn’t . It’s like an old prize fighther throwning his hat in the ring to bring the fans in . I mean lets face it, without Lerman competing in this contest it would get very little publicity and very little attention. Go Curry should pay Don just for getting involved. Bottom line , Lerman brings in the crowd and sells tickets. Always has always will
