The Atlanta Journal Constitution home page has a link to a video from the Waffle House contest with an interview with Joey Chestnut. (No direct link, if the video is no longer available on the main page try the video page.) Surprisingly, no text article containing contest results is available on the site (or if it is present I have not been able to find it.)

    Is this all that concerns you ? who is cute and who isnt. This is competitive eating not a beauty contest. How do you think it makes the other males feel when you single out one person and say “who is that handsome man? Whats wrong the others males arent good looking?

    Mr. Sensitivity I’m the person on the right hand side of sonya in the video. It was meant as a joke because the general consensus is that I’m not handsome even though I do get compliments on my butt all the time. Lighten up!!

    I was looking at Ed Jarvis’ website, http://www.hugeeaters.com, and I noticed he has the new IFOCE rankings. It looks like Joey has jumped into the number 3 spot. There was a lot more movement with the other positions as well. Are these really going to be the new rankings or is this what he is predicting? Check it out and let me know what you think.

    I have been with the IFOCE since 1997 and i can tell you for a fact that Jarvis rankings play very a very small part in IFOCE determining their decision . If you see any similarities its by coincidence only. I dont understand why everyone thinks the IFOCE rankings will be updated so fast. From past experience they usually update them once or maybe twice a year . The only reason they were forced to quickly revise the rankings in late June was to accomodate the ESPN Alka Seltzer show.

    I think Jarvis did a great job on his Rankings. I talked to the people at the IFOCE and new rankings are coming soon.

    I could barely eat while watching the amazing Sonya and Joey down waffles!! My next competition, The Krystal qualifier at Gwinnett County Fairgrounds, I’m not only wearing eye black, I’m wearing blinders!! Is there any way to get to the Waffle video on AJC.com or is it too late??? Also, I’m still searching for any photos from that fine gathering of gentlemen and lady!! See you next Sunday!!
