Did you see the size of the wings. they have to be little over an inch. Maybe two and half pound of meat. The estimation of his skills are blown way out of proportion. If he was in the IFOCE he would be ranked 21 or 22 and that would be pushing it .

“We have bone checkers,” said Bob Forwood, owner of Wings To Go in Dewey Beach. “Girls come around and check your bone. And of it’s not finished, they dip them back in the suicide sauce.”

Dang, suicide sauce on your bone.. that’s gotta hurt!

Some of you thank you & some of you FU.

I didn’t say they were large wings, but they are similar to those used @ wingbowl but with very hot sauce instead of barbeque & you’re not allowed h20 witch definitely was a pre-contest concern. I didn’t get any sauce on my bone (thankfully) but I did get some in my eye. It burned, on the drive back.

Well done GJoe and congratulations. I’ve competed against you and I’ve been following your competitive eating career for years. You are absolutely a top 10 eater in all leagues combined.

Menchetti now you know how it feels when you make stupid remarks like “hmm werent those matzah balls kinda small or those hot dogs smaller than other years. Of course you will have a lapse of memory on that just like your lapse of memory calling subich and goldstein losers a few years ago .

I will bet you if Menchetti called out Joey Chestnut , Chip Simpson , Pat Bertoletti Bob Shoudt or even Eric the Red in a wing contest or any food for that matter , at least two of the five would take him up on the offer regardless of IFOCE obligations . Forget Booker, Hardy, Jarvis Lerman etc etc they already whipped his ass in the past no need to go through an old scenario. I was there to witness it back then. aice and its joke of a leader are aching to get in the ring with the top IFOCE talent. I say let it be done so once and for all they will get the ass whipping they deserve and crawl back in the hole where they belong . Let Gentleman Joe have his wish but dont bitch if you lose because there aint gonna be a rematch!

Mr Wright, No worries… The wings WERE small. I can admit this, unlike the mid-level eaters or below who pretend in their own minds that the Matzo balls from Manhatten aren’t twice the size of the ones in another place.

I’m also not going to pretend that the level of competition i’ve been competing against is comparable to a Kobe/Chestnut or even a Bertoletti/Simpson/Black Widow. If they’re to be called “Major League” or Pujols/Roethliberger like talent, then the competion i’ve been facing could be compared to High A ball all the way up to a solid major leaguer or a Flutie when he was in the CFL.

I don’t think AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME, I can beat Chestnut, Simpson or Bertoletti. (Certainly not a majority of the time) I have beaten Shoudt, & less than 6 months age beat Erik the Red. Never lost to those two!

I am NOT aching to get back in the ring with any of the ifoce guys, or gals. (For a long time, I was) I’ve only challenged one of them, (no one mentioned above) & that is more of a personal grudge match. I’ll let you mid-level morons spend your own $$$ chasing a stupid pipe dream, j@rking off when seeing yourselves on tv, (That’s the Shea’s carrot more than $$$) while I lay in wait picking up $500. here, $1,000. there, a digital camera here, a moutain bike there & every so often $5,000.
I pray you guys stay, stupid. An ifoce eater recently complained, & i nearly beg him/her to stay, I’m not looking for anymore competition.

I never beat Booker, head up, only when he did miserably & i did a bit better. Got Jarvis a time or two, & was close a bunch of times. Probably beat Hardy & Lerman more than they beat me.

The Truth Hurts has a fair assessment… I think he is more than a little low, (When I was ranked #6 I thought I should be 7 or 8) but w/ the influx of high quality eaters I may no longer deserve a top ten.

I will be away from tomorrow a.m. til late the following Tues, so sadly, I may not see the 10 different responses beautiful brian posts under 10 different alias’. Don’t worry, its pleasure, not business.

I hope I have not offended any of those that i’ve competed against the last 3 yrs, this was not intended to do that.

If in doubt, i’m sure oj will coinfirm that it is from me.

Gentleman Joe, you are a great eater…..
Thank you for mentoring me pre-contest, and giving me a leg to stand on for my start in competitive eating.
But don’t give it all away…. or I won’t be winning cash and prizes while some of these guys are fighting for elbow room at the back of the fart bus.

With all due respect to Ian, time will prove GJoe is superior to Ian by measurable amounts. And other new independents may challenge both these guys. Keep your eye on the Quick Check Finals. It WILL be interesting.

Joe i wont deny i go under a few alias but not the exaggerated 10 you claim i have. I can get arrested for claiming so many identities at one time. lol. I think everyone that logs on to this site(including you) has an alias or two and there is nothing wrong with that.If you remove seven or eight of the people that go under assumed names the site wouldnt be much fun because the 15 or so regulars would be dwittled down to 5 or 6 if their real names were revealed. What amazes me is that your evaluation of my eating capabilities(i rarely compete) seems to be based on my performances in hot dogs and the ignorant comments from your pathetic aice founder who puked up an attempt to finish a 6lb burrito when i easily completed the job in under 25 minutes. Not the best of times but completed nonetheless. If i performed that poorly in contests then please whip out the stats or go to the videotape replay before making idiotic claims about me on your website. I always hung in there with Booker Hardy & Jarvis in most of the old contests and they can verify that. If you were such an expert on eating talent you would realize that Bertolleti, Chestnut Shoudt Janus etc are able to eat 6 to 8 lbs of food which makes my 2 or 3 lbs(which used to be decent totals) at this point look like shit .Before you accuse someone of being a shitty eater which you have done on many occasions , realize that the bar has been risen and will continue to rise. Good luck Joe!
