    Who is “Big Brian”? Is that Dud Light?

    Does anyone know who the current record holder is for the oldest person to eat their age in hot dogs?

    Thanks again OJ! That link to your database lists Kobayashi with 50 hot dogs, but that is 12 minutes. But you’re right: if you count hot dogs per minute, Miki has the highest total. Amazing!

    Wait a second: in that link, it says Kobayashi debuted on July 4, 2001 at the Nathan’s finals. But didn’t he have to qualify first? Maybe I’m reading it wrong.

    I’m sorry to OJ: in my original question, I asked who had the top QUALIFIER debut. So Miki is the answer. But Kobayashi still has the highest total for debuts, at 50. But I still don’t know how he skipped the qualifier, unless there weren’t qualifiers back then. But how did IFOCE select its finalists then?

    I tried to enter this info on the database here so I can learn to search myself:

    Contest contains: Nathan’s
    Results: min. place: “1”, max. place “1”, sort by “Amount”, order “Descending”

    But I got all the Nathan’s finals when I clicked “Find Results”.

    I then tried Contest contains: “Nathan’s Qualifier”, and got nothing.

    How can I produce the results that OJ got in that thread above (http://eatfeats.com/top-nathans-debuts-according-to-eatfeats-database.html)? Additionally, how do I search the for just qualifier debuts? Do you have to be the site owner or a moderator to do that?

    Here’s bob best advice when it comes to competitive eating. Have your family sit in the front row and berate any other eater. After that tell everyone that the food you did not eat was that of your competitors. Shodt is s..t. See you at Nathans … Oh wait he doesn’t do that anymore because he gets his ass kicked every time.

    Kobayashi did not have to qualify He ate a ton of cow brains in the Glutton Bowl that year and was doing the Sheas a favor by competing on the 4th of July
