My big mouth and big pen screwed up. Juliet made no mention of wanting to take over Kobe Joey or Sonya’s spot. I was overinflating the actual truth. It was more like she would love to have the chance to compete against him one day and give it her best. I apologize for making it seem like she was coming to invade territory.

I have two things to say about that. First Beautiful Brian will suck up to and endorse anyone who tells him what he wants to hear. Like “oh, your still such a great eater Brian, and your web site is great. Say that and you are brian’s temporary best friend, at least until you fail to live up to the expected ass-kissing that he believes you should bestow upon him. To Brian people are just objects to be used to boost his own self image. Thats it in a nutshell.
Aand two, Julet talks a lot of shit that she cant back up. I would say the she is the female equivalent of a subdued Dale Boone. About a year ago or so ago she even said that she can eat as much as sonya, like sonya is so great. But after three or four contests she cant even beat her let alone anyone ranked ahead of sonya. I dont think Juliet has even come in higher than fourth place at any contest yet. I believe her about as much as brian himself.

There are strong rumors that Sonya Thomas is indeed Rhonda Evans. Now Rhonda can come on here and dispute that until she is blue in the face but the past facts speak for themself. Someone mentioned that Rhonda doesn’t post on weekends. I don’t know how that plays into the correlation of Sonya and Rhonda . Rhonda might have made a weekend exception posting as anonymous a few weeks back when Sonya’s reputation as an eater was questioned.

I regret not drafting Juliet for my Fantasy Eating Team. I was surprised when she was ranked before even competing as a ‘pro’ but now I see that she was not ranked high enough! I can wait to see what her Nathans Qualifier totals are….Go Lee family!

Yeah and you made another mistake when you traded Sonya for Humble Bob on your fantasy team. But it is all in fun anyway so it does not really matter. But I am sure Justin thanks you a lot.

The bashing of Sonya is getting annoying, even to me. She is the greatest female eater of all time & probably #3 overall. A hall of fame would certainly contain her!
I think she should refocus her image into being a “bad” girl. Because of her competitiveness, not because she is really bad, I think it would suit her better than “pretending” to be sweet & innocent most of the time. She gets booed anyway, atleast in philly, so embrace it! That way, she can go over the top in complaing about debris, no water, hot food, etc, & its just part of the show. No need to apologize after, for anything.
If Sonya is/was the one who does her site, she does have the written skills to be Rhonda. I’m not saying that she is Rhonda.

anonymous her english is perfect when translated from korean to english on her website and eatfeats Apparantly that is how she really speaks if you were to conversate with her in Korean. Sad to say i cannot say the same for Kobe who more than likely uses the cheapest or poorest translating service (Japanese to english) known to mankind .

individually Sonya may have more ‘fantasy point’ value than Bob as she is likely to compete in more events than him this year. However you are unaware of Bob’s importance in the Meatsweats Secret Weapon of Eating. All will be revealed in the coming weeks…..

Rhonda is not here right now to defend herself. Today is Monday not sat or sun so we should hear from her before the day is over .What is so intriguing is that she comes on here with this wealth of CE info on every tom dick and harry that ever competed. One must ponder if it could be one of the Shea’s or someone that works in the ifoce office dying to get their two cents into the conversation. He or she has succeeded in scaring away some of the top eaters from commenting because when they did post , they found her comments and opinions quite irritating.

Also, I’m sure Sonya has an editor she uses to perfect English on her website. When you read Koby’s site, it’s only translated from Japanese through Google’s translator tool, which is imperfect. It’s ridiculous to compare the two.
And no doubt Hiroshi would take offense to being called the “cheapest or poorest translating system.” 😉

I’m not ass kissing. I’ve never had anything against Sonya, & I never denigrated her abilities. Everything written about her on Speedeat was a result of talking to OTHER people. The perception that I didn’t like her & wrote mean things was due to the hyper-sensitivity of her fans, not fact.
Due to the langauge barrier when we competed in the same arena, I don’t know her nearly well enough to form an opinion. The only opinion I can give which could be perceived as bad is she gigles like a teenage girl. I’m sure that too is a result of the language barrier.
I don’t care what Rona thinks of me. Though, she has always been cordial when i’ve seen her.

First of all, stop saying Juliet will never beat Sonya. She’s had, what, three professional contests so far? You try being in the circuit for only, about, 3 months and beating #4 in the world. And, Luther, just so you know, Juliet only came into competitive eating in August 2006; the Three Brothers amature contest. For those of you saying Sonya is Rhonda Evans, forget it. Hank, a friend of Sonya who is English not Asian, obviously does her website. And NO translator is good enough to turn Korean or what ever to perfect English. Take it from somebody who knows.

Hank certainly does a good job on her site. One question. Hank has only been eating a year or so. Sonyas site is over 3 years old I think. Who did it before then? Or maybe she has known Hank that long.
