Probably not, but if so those greedy eaters with that great guaranteed salary. Why would anyone do that?

I’ve heard that with the $$$ on this one, nearly everbody tried to get in, ala Hardy et al w/ a spice company’s seafood contest. That near everybody includes me.

I had the best performance of my short careerat moes. 3 Joey Bag of Donuts Burritos in 2:23….then I was declared ineligible. Has anyone heard of a better time for the first round? 60K down the drain……..

One of the few times an eater is pissed to be ranked.

    Steakbellie,

That’s the best time I’ve heard of. The rules define a “Professional Eater” as someone who has been ranked for a year. How long have you been ranked by IFOCE? You could probably have contested it. PS How did you get ranked? Have you won any IFOCE events or did you get ranked just by participating?

Steakbellie, I got beat by a college kid in just over two minutes. I was stunned and very impressed.

I was thrown out before I competed, rebutted what they had, competed in 2:03 for 3 burritos. Was sent wo more things that I rebutted, they said they’d check w/promotion company, then threw me out again.

I’m not throwning out the name, but theres someone claiming under 2 minutes for the 3 burritos.

I can’t believe the audacity, after throwing me out, they asked me to rat out others?!? I wouldn’t rat out Kobe or Chestnut, never mind anyone else

    Coward,
I’ve done lots of Regional Stuff, and did pretty good for a beginner. No Wins other than first round at Moes. I think I was ranked mostly because I’m fun at parties. I’m aware of the ‘ranked for a year’ rule but it was made clear to me that I would not be allowed to go any further.

    GJoe & Savage,
I’m releaved to hear that there are better times than mine. It would suck to go through life wondering……thanks

My boyfriend won a qualifier last month. Ate three in less than 3:20 and then became ranked five days after the event. Moe’s strung him along until the day before the next qualifier and then sent him an email with a quote from the lawyers which basically said they dont care what they said originally in the rules, that they could deem you ineligible if they wanted. This was after lying to him and hanging up on him a few times. We foresaw the possibility of this happening, but Moe’s went about it in a totally dickhead way.
