Its not only fucked up that the man died but nature of the death. I mean really how can family menbers explain to the people coming to the funeral paying their respects that he died competing in a hot dog contest . It might be even harder for the guy delivering the sermon

Walter Eagle Tail was a resident of Custer SD and a Native American. He was an artist and exhibited his work at the Crazy Horse Memorial Educational and Cultural Center.

This wouldn’t have happened if he prepared with that wheat stuff to make him healthier and a better eater.

Wow, some of you people have no respect. The man died at a hot dog contest, would it been better if he died at his house? You medical experts know the cause of death with no medical information, very impressive. I challenge you to come to the sermon. Talk to the people who knew him, and see if “Custers revenge”, more “wheat” played a part.

I was visiting Custer for the 4th, and it was all anyone could talk about. People need to learn empathy, even if they find this comical.

I was there on Thursday and i watched him fall. I saw them working on him, trying to save his life. I saw a woman i can only assume wad his poor wife desperately trying to help. This isn’t something to make jokes about. It was very sad, he was somebody very special to many people. It was traumatizing for everyone there including my children. My prayers go out to his family. It put a very somber mood on the whole 4 th of July event.

This is very sad and I feel sorry for his family. Within another year or two we’ll see a well known major league eater succumb while practicing, which outwardly is not condoned by mle, but inwardly is encouraged, so that totals look more impressive. It will take the death of an eating star to bring this unsafe practice to light.
