The Fiji Times has an article about a Fijian hot dog contest. The winner will receive a slot in the Nathan's finals if he or she can eat more than 50 hot dogs in 10 minutes.

    Hangman has reported on his Twitter page that he will not be in Nathan’s this year so Furious Pete has a chance now. It was also reported that Hangman will undergo reconstructive surgery on his ankle on May 16 to repair damage from his years in pro wrestling.

    Another note reported is Hangman is working with other wrestling legends on a wrestling movie and filming will wrap up it said this september at the hall of fame.

    On Hangman’s Twitter page it is also reported that he intends to return to competitive eating during the Labor Day Krystal’s contest which I think is still being held in Jacksonville. I look forward to seeing Hangman back at the table. Super Paul and Hangman do not eat in the high numbers but both bring class, joy and color to the table.

    There are those that come out to the contests to see the champs and then there are those who come out to see those like Hangman, Super Paul and Furious Pete.

    Good luck in Fiji Furious Pete. You need it to make 50.
