It is obvious that some contests had different sandwiches.
We now have a dilemma… Some people will argue that the IFOCE should stick to the original rules and award prize money based on these questionable totals… Other people will say that there has always been a possibility of a CHAMPIONSHIP round, and distribution of the $20,000 has never been announced.
Whatever the IFOCE’s decision is, it is better to make it clear sooner instead of later.
Oh yah…. there is a rumor that Kobayashi is going to show up to the southern california event

Yes, I agree about the totals – there has got to be a final round after these qualifiers because you cannot compare one contest to another when some sandwiches were singly-wrapped, at another contest the sandwiches were unwrapped and on plates; and more significantly is this should be done by weight eaten or something because eaters leave a lot in their cups or there pans or whatever. One winner had it looked like 2 or 3 sandwiches left in his liquid. IFOCE, standardize your domain!!

Kobayashi is a bore. He cares nothing about anyone but himself. Whats the fun of watching him eat 50 grilled cheese sandwiches and scooping up all the loot.?

As much as I’d like to see the Mustard Yellow Belt come back to the USA, I admire Kobayashi for his outstanding talent and also he’s not arrogant and has manners that many Americans could learn from. If it wasn’t not for him, competitive eating wouldn’t be where it is today. And if there’s anyone who thinks differently, the turnip truck that dropped you off will be back soon..

Is it still possible to ” properly use the bathroom” after 50 grilled cheese sandwiches??? When will they have a Ruffage Eating Extravaganza – hopefully, the day after the grilled cheese consumption carnival!!

I agree. Lets stop hiding behind false names. I think the first person who should be OUTed is Mr. Haney from Green Acres. Dale, excuse me, Mr Haney, why don’t you ask Lisa Douglas when YOU can come out of the closet?
