It looks like the rules are for the “Wisconsin” division, which might mean an amateur contest before the main event. The schedule says 12 noon for the contest, the rules of the “wisconsin division” contest says 11 am. The performer listed before the contest is at 10, and many of those are scheduled for half hour blocks on the schedule. Leaving enough time to do an amateur contest at 11, followed by an IFOCE contest at noon.
And in related news, here is an article on Tim Brown with a pic from last years Brat contest

The Spike TV deal came on like gang busters. Lot of hype about 4 events this year. Lately heard nothing. Only event was St Pattys Day. When or what are the next Spike TV events?
Now we hear Johnsville Brats may have dropped IFOCE. This was a Huge ESPN event and now is gone? Changes are in the wind.

That’s okay. I’d like to see additional majors come from different foods other than sandwich foods or dog/burger-type meats, in order to be more representative of the many, many different food types.
For starters, ideally, each of the 5 food groups would be represented: meat/protein, dairy, bread/grain, fruit, and vegetable, with a focus on the healthier versions of the foods in those groups, which brats, dogs, and burgers are not.
I think that if CE took the healthier route to eating, the following would grow more rapidly than it currently does. Last year I felt so sorry for those eaters after consuming all that salt and fat in those brats–not a good idea at all.

Well hopefully soon we will have a much better understanding of what all that junkfood is actually doing to our bodies. Can’t wait to see the Nat. Geographic special next week.

I would love to see some healthier contests. Sushi is so popular these days, I’m sure that will one day be a major event. It isn’t exactly low calorie, but is I think quite healthy with no additives/fillers/gobs of grease. Unfortunately, whoever sponsors it will probably only provide california rolls because they’re cheap. But how sweet would a nigiri sushi contest be? Mmmmm. . .
