Kobayashi cartoon in last night’s SNL

Last night’s episode of Saturday Night Live had a cartoon about Kobayashi in Robert Smigel’s TV Funhouse that can be viewed at http://youtube.com/watch?v=4hkq6Qn0nQY The cartoon had a live action segment which Kobayashi describes the filming of in a blog entry. William “Refrigerator” Perry is the only person who has competed in an IFOCE contest besides Kobayashi to appear in the clip.

    After watching this cartoon, I think we should send Kobayashi to Iraq. Maybe he can eat a ton of hot dogs and help put an end to the violence.

    I caught the original taping on Saturday night when I was randomly watching SNL after going out drinking with some friends. The bit was actually really funny, my friends were crackin up and I myself was wearing a perma-grin of excitement to see Kobayashi on my TV randomly. Also, maybe I was a little envious but right now I probably couldn’t have saved the flooded city like Kobayashi did in the cartoon.

    HIlarious. I never got the connection of Kobayashi’s hair change compared to that of Goku turning Super Saiyan until I saw this cartoon. Hmmmm.
