Pie Wood Fired Pizza will hold "Let em Eat 8" at Kempenfest in Barrie, ON on August 7. Takeru Kobayashi will attempt to win the title for the eighth year in a row. Previous contests have awarded over $5000. update The contest has been removed from the Kempenfest.com schedule but still appears in some Google search results

    Where did you get this information? Kobayashi’s name has been taken off the menu and the company is restructuring. I don’t think Kobayashi and Bertorelli are coming. And the prizes will be skaled back.

    I See You Have Taken Down The Let Them Eat Contest. Piewood Pizza is restructuring and are not sponsoring Kobayashi anymore. All the food items baring his name have been taken away or changed. They don’t have $10,000 to spend on this event anymore or $6000 a year on Kobayashi’s name on there food .
