This is real sad cause there are people out there that die from sudden heart attacks in which they have no control over but on the other side there are people that engage in these sort of events as thrill seekers daring fate in the face. Well one of these days you will get the wish you asked for

I am not sure if the answer is yes, but it sure felt that way for me one time. Move the contents just a little bit and feel intense pain. Overproduction of HCL (which i believe is what happens when the body senses spicy foods) can leave one bellowing in pain wondering what the hell they were thinking. Most folks are smart enough not to eat a ton of spicy food as they are doing it, but in the act of competition we might not notice the danger until after the damage has been done. Sane people don’t eat more than a few ghost pepper or spicy things at one time, their judgement kicks in, but I think most eaters here will ignore signals contrary to trying to win a challenge or competition.

Anything done to stupid extremes can and will kill you.

As a bit of a pepperhead and from what I’ve heard/read over the years, capsaicin is a toxin. It’s like alcohol; everybody has a tolerance level. Like with alcohol, most people vomit/have other physical issues before they can even come close to killing themselves with it….however with enough tolerance you can poison yourself to death with it
