Publishers Weekly reports that the next book by Ryan Nerz, author of Eat This Book, will be Marijuanamerica, an exploration of the marijuana industry "in the context of his own use and experience."

    I hope he wasn’t “tokin'” while writing the book.

    Perhaps he was under the influence when he wrote the chapter that addressed BB in his previous book, but once the effects wore off and he came to his senses he decided not to include it in the manuscript for publishing.

    maybe we should have manditory drug testing for contestants AND judges?/ mc’s. then maybe they can get the counts right.Also you’ll most likely see a drop in #s when the eaters don’t have the munchies.

    Hey Beautiful Brian, Sonya did reserve a pass for you but you never showed up at the hotel and she gave her extra pass to the family member of another eater. Now that you offended both Sonya and her best friend don’t expect any future favors from either of them. Both of which are not Rhonda. Oh, and one more thing, dropping names of friends and family of eaters here or anywhere else should never happen. It is an unsaid rule in competitive eating that should never be betrayed. So all you’ve done now is send a great message to all the other eaters, veterans, new comers and their families, of what kind of person you are and how you cannot be trusted. So keep on dropping those names, telling tales that you don’t know the full story about, and burning those bridges.

    SI is exactly right about you in what he posted on another thread just recently. You know, about the flavor of the day and all that. Frankly, I feel fortunate you don’t know me, because I don’t want to become a flavor of the day when the flavor begins to smell, as it always does.

    I sometimes teach. After I grade and return the tests my students and I review each question, after which I go around the room to find out how many people missed each question. If it’s just a few, it’s a good question, but when most of the students miss the question I throw it out, because that means it was a bad discriminator.

    Brian, similarly, when a person here or there talk about something he or she doesn’t like about you, me, or anybody it means nothing. That’s life. But when we’re told similar things from more than just a couple of people it’s time to do a bit of introspection to look at ourselves. Your typical, default response in such instances is to go on the attack with your F*&k Yous and Piece of S^&* talk. That’s easy; it requires no thought, only action.

    I’ve offered some constructive comments, and I still care. But I’m done. You’ve been making your own bed for the 6 or 7 years I’ve been aware of you. You can wake up and change the linen or continue to snooze in crap.

    Will you ever get tired of the latter?

I emailed Sonya with my address asking her to relay the message to hank to mail me the passes. I never got a response from either so there.     ‘Smoke This Book’ is a great title but has already been used,most recently by Ian Gillan(of Deep Purple).I’m sure it’s gonna be a great book,Ryan Nerz is one of the most brilliant people ever associated with this sorry excuse for a sport.Can’t wait to read it!

    The way BB has bad mouthed Sonya and threatened her personal friends here I wouldn’t blame her if she never talked to him again. He sounds crazy and she should be afraid of him. As for giving BB any passes to events, she shouldn’t let him anywhere near her or her loved ones. I’m also betting he just shot his MLE relationship right out the window. The MLE does tend to protect their top eaters and I wouldn’t count on seeing him at too many eating contests in the future. I guess the good news is we can be done with his constant claims that he got the story first. Because any eater or their friends that talk to BB now would be nuts to talk to him again the way he just dissed Sonya and her friends.

And, I can guarantee she reserved a pass for you but you never showed so she gave it to another eater’s family member. In fact the other eat family member can back me up on this. And, she may have ran into you later but was so scared of your unstable personality, she was afraid to tell you that she gave your pass away, or embarrass you for not knowing where to go to get the passes.     Yes,that was very negative of me,& as John Lydon once told me,”I try so hard to be nice.”I have recently been contacted by an organization called MACE(mothers against competitive eating) who thought I could spearhead the movement against CE since I am such a rebel & iconoclast,but I said,”What’s in it for me?”I’m too involved with writing & music to give a shit,but because of what happened to me(I went to jail because I got obsessed with a (former)competitive eater.)I only “rag” on CE because everyone has turned against me without bothering to find out about the details.The only thing I can do is write,write,.write,which is why I admire Ryan Nerz so much-he is doing what I aspire to.All I can do is try to give an honest appraisal of what I see.
