How is MLE west coast when most of the contests, including Nathans’s and almost all qualifiers, are in the eastern half of the United States? The NYC eaters get (or got) all the benefits, like CLC, Eater-X, Booker, Lehrman, Jarvis, Golstein, Seiken, etc.

I did some research. Only 16 of the 43 MLE contests in the 2016-17 season so far (starting after July 4, 2016) have been held west of the Mississippi (including Minnesota). and only 7 of those 16 were true west coast. 9 of the 16 were in the center US. The plurality of the west coast contests were in Texas.
TX: 4
CA: 3
NV: 3
IA: 2
OK 1
NM: 1
MO: 1
MN: 1

Hate to disagree but given that there is one qualifier on the west coast for the largest event in the league, us west coasters are shit out of luck usually.
