The big Wing Bowl news appears to be that WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley is participate in Wing Bowl 23. Foley competed in the past two fruitcake eating contests in Santa Claus, IN and was penalized for cheating from both competitions. A limited number of Wing Bowl tickets will go on sale today at 9 AM.

    They aren’t more famous then Foley but would make more sense to be in this event. Adding media hounds to this event continues to lesson the true meaning of wing bowl. Yes it is a joke and the eating is built around the other stuff but come on, nobody cares about seeing a washed up ex-wrestler on stage. Who is next, Dick van Patton?

    They don’t sell out. About 50-60% of the seats are put on sale. Many others are given out to sponsors, clients, friends, listeners of which many are never used. The very top level is barely half occupied while the first level is only about 3/4 full. It is still a huge event and to drawl in that many people at 7am is still astonishing. Sell out, NEVER.

    1:44 pm & 1:48 pm are both idiots; there are thousands of tickets on sale for 10 bucks each, with the proceeds going to the Philadelphia fraternal order of police. Everyone of these seats are sold out each year. Get your facts straight dummies.

    Yes they charge for a god cause but get your facts straight moron. Have you been in the stadium since they started charging for tickets? A lot of empty seats and sections. When it was free, it was cram jammed and they had to turn away drunks.
