PMQ.com has an article about Miki Sudo attempting the 7 pound pizza challenge at Slice of Vegas in Las Vegas on September 6, which has never been completed. She says she has no motivation to surpass her personal best of 41 hot dogs: "How come you only ate 37 yesterday? Was it the weather?’ I’m like, no, it’s because I have no incremental incentive to work harder … it makes no difference to me.” update Miki finished the challenge in a record 35 minutes.

That pizza is bigger than only 7 lbs… It’s closer to 8lbs
If it was only 7 than I when I tried it I would have gotten closer, and maybe finished
Additionally when I weighed one of the 8 slices it was between 15 and 16 ounces for that 1 slice

Can we get a new female voice for competitive eating to replace Miki Sudo? Every time she’s interviewed she talks about how she doesn’t care, doesn’t try, is out of practice, yet she’s become the go-to mouthpiece whenever people write articles about female eaters. It derails the whole idea that women can be badass at these events if one of the most prominent voices is saying essentially “whatever, I don’t really care.”

She has no incentive to work harder because she won and there is no reason to go for a personal best .

Some eaters have no incentive or desire to surpass the 11 hot dog total.

Her attitude is the reason she isn’t getting paid much (in addition to the fact that she never wins any unisex competitions), and it’s also why she will soon be totally irrelevant. Thank goodness!

Yeah but what else can she do to earn a living without competing in eating contests?

I wasn’t “invited”. I had done the challenge the day before Miki did and was there to watch her break my time record and she called me down to sit with her to offer my support.

Why do people care if I’m invited or not. Its a public place. If I wanted to be there I would have gone.. I’ve done this challange years ago
