Actually I was there this past saturday and it came to my mind . The competitors wont have to worry about bad food..You couldn’t ruin their pastrami sandwich even if you tried. $18 a pop is a little steep though. Enjoy . Chance like this comes around once in a lifetime

Yeah, I read your column, Brian.

But you will choke and do a shitty job followed by an article about how dry and crappy the food tasted.

So now you’re badmouthing the sponsor before the contest, Brian? Stay classy…

All you look for is the negative in Seiken commentary. If Seiken didnt mention anything about price , the 11:11 comment would never have been posted. Then again you will always find something negative to say about Seiken no matter what he says

i wonder if Seiken will threaten to close down to his website again if MLE doesn’t give him a spot in the contest.

I believe this will be a special invite for select eaters in NY excluding Seiken. Badlands , of course Conti, Janus, Sudo , Chestnut or Sonya will get flown in and Shoudt as usual will have to pay his way

After the insulting comment that George Shea made about Goldstein during the NC qualifier , i expected him to tell them to shove it. “Allen Goldstein , an old man who has more of his past than his present. Desperate to cling on to something he can pass on to his grandchildren when he passes away which will be very soon” I mean really how can you have the balls to say something like that?

the video of the Nathans contest that depicted those very words was removed at the request of Shredder to his cuz

It’s a funny line. George uses it on other guys too. I really doubt it was written with Shredder in mind.

I agree with 11:15, George made many off the wall comments about Allen in the past. It was kind of shredder’s schtick that he was one of the older guys in the league. I doubt there was any offense taken and highly doubt Shredder wants to compete anymore regardless.

The video was my choice to remove. Cuz doesn’t even know I took it off. No need for it any longer. Shredder didn’t take any offense to George’s comments. It’s the same old comments that he uses every contest for different eaters.

Yeah but the passing away part was not necessary

To all the negative haters out there , i read that Seiken was waitlisted for the pastrami contest but thanked MLE for responding and no harm done. No temper tantrum and no shutting down website.
